Why is it with Floyd people have discussions bout possible fights that never happen instead of post fight discussions bout thos actual fights? It is a simple answer. Because he never makes fights we really want to see, so we fantasize about what if!
With manny and other greats we never have that issue. Therefore I say if Floyd wants to be seen as an alltime great he must face the top guys and if his fans want to defend him, let them do that. We all should defend whom we like, but NOT if they do not fight.
I am a fan of boxing since the late 50’s and only one oter boxer bragged about being the best. The inimitable Cassius Clay/Ali but he backed it up by fighting the best from the 60’s-80’s. He went out of his way to insult guys to get them to face him. Floyd does the opposite.
He discredits guys to avoid facing them. Ali met the top guys 2 even 3 times. Floyd not even once.
li would never let another say believe he is his equal not to mention call him names like Mosley did to Floyd.
Ali’s boxing resume has so many HOF boxers who he beat in their prime. Floyd’s resume includes only 3 HOF and 2 (Oscar and Marquez), were was past their “best before” date and did not fight Floyd at their best weight and age.
Manny has not only had many more HOF guys on his resume but he has fought them at their ideal age and weight (except Oscar). He has also has quite a few rematches to prove once is not enough. he has also never avoided a challenge or let anyone call him out like Floyd has.
In the old series by Alex Haley the leader was a guy called Chicken George. You sir are a chicken, but more like Kentucky Fraud Chicken. Lay of the effing claim to be the greatest. You are indeed the lamest exccuse for such wasted talent!

This another typical blind Chicken Floyd fan who see much less than Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder, They already see Flod for what he is and that is a guy who refuses to fight the top guys at 147.
Nobody ever says he is not skilled because he is up there with the best of the last 15 years. But like any other talent, we can’t gauge them until they face the best at their same level.
Lebron James was a high school phenom at b-ball but until he faced the best in the NBA that was all we could say about him. We saw his skill and started comparing him to the alltime best.
History is filled with so many who teased us but failed to deliver for whatever reason. Chicken Floyd is satisfied to say he is the best but will never face the best. So technically, he is not really testing himslef. Anybody can look great beating up smaller, older, slower guys or playing in the minors.
It is completely different when in the majors. So when we look back at history 10 yrs from now who will we say had the best career and is an alltime great having beaten the best in their prime and at their natural weights? Not Chicken Floyd. He is not only great defenesively in the ring, he is twice as great outside as he avoids the best. This is why his fans have to keep defending him. I too was a huge fan whe he was at 130 and 135 but he has picked on the easy guys since then. I was happy to see the Rugged Man call him out but was surprised he did not take the challenge inthe ring. Why? because he knows he is not a boxer. Chicken Floyd quickly accepted Marquez when he called him out but when Margarito and Mosley did the same on national TV, he pretended not to hear. Does he have selective hearing for gus who weigh less than 135 lbs? The most $ available is for him to meet Manny. He calls himself Money so he should put his mouth where the money is.

Hey , I’m puertorican .. Even though my heart was set on cotto, I knew pacquio was a great fighter , and this would be a tough match! Now to the person who wrote this article you seen a little to obsess with mayweather. I’m not saying mayweather isn’t a good fighter.. But he is a show off, and those are the ones that fall the hardest! If mayweather ever decide to fight pacquio , indeed it would be a great fight.. Respect to pacman .. Cotto you’ve put up a fight even though yes your strong , you’re time has come! Mayweather well he should just humble himself a little, he won’t always be on top, and I think pacquio might be the one that would step him down!
