Searching through youtube I came across a 2005 interview of Manny Pacquiao and Filipino talk show host Dong Puno after Pacquiao’s loss to Erik Morales.
In the interview Pacquiao states that they randomly took blood from him two days before his first fight with Erik Morales and he felt dizzy and weak after they took blood.
Pacquiao also believes it was a tactic by the opponent to get him weak before the fight, during this fight Pacquiao also said he had no power in his punches.
This shows that Manny Pacquiao is not making up a quick excuse for not taking blood before a fight, he has every right to refuse such tests because he doesn’t want to be weak again for the fight and believes it is a tactic to make him weak.
Manny Pacquiao is not taking Steroids and has nothing to hide. He had a bad experience taking his blood two days before his 2005 fight with Morales which he lost and is not making something up.
Pacman knows his body and what he feels and has every right to stand his ground the commission is the one who should be in charge of drug testing not the Mayweather camp. If Floyd wants the fight he will come to terms since Pacquiao has tested clean in all of his fights.

Dong Puno: “Now, let’s talk about this thing they call ‘blood test’ and we don’t understand this either. Why do you have to be blood tested 2 days BEFORE the fight? Then that’s why here, in Manila, there were rumors that the fight might not happen because the Nevada Commission were insisting that the test must be passed and if not, they wouldn’t give the fight any permit or recognition. What really happened there?”
Manny Pacquiao: “Here’s what happened, one month before the fight, they rushed me into doing a ‘medical’ they said to be required by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Because they said that the Commission needed the required ‘medical.’ So I did the medical test one month before the fight. Complete with everything…
Dong Puno: “Including the blood test?”
Manny Pacquiao: “Yeah, including the blood test, they took my blood, then its done. So I went back to my training until the fight, then I was already reducing my intake. The next day, it’s the weigh-in, it was 2 days before the fight. I didn’t eat, I didn’t drink water because my weight was right on. Now, all of a sudden, the commission called asking for my blood for the ‘medical’. I said ‘why, we’ve done that’. My camp reacted, my trainer ‘Coach Freddie’, even my manager ‘Shirley’ reacted why are they asking for my blood since we’ve done it. They said that the Doctor said he lost my medical record.”
Dong Puno: “They lost it?”
Manny Pacquiao: “Yeah, they lost my record.”
Dong Puno: “So, first of all, whose fault is this? Is it the hospitals’? One of your managers? One of your people? Because they didn’t follow it up, they didn’t verify that it was really submitted.”
Manny Pacquiao: “Yeah, that’s the thing. Why didn’t the Nevada Athletic Commission have any record that they rushed me one month before the fight because they said they needed my medical record.”
Dong Puno: “Well, that’s really hard to explain…”
Manny Pacquiao: “And why did they have to wait 2 days before the fight until they inform us about it?”
Dong Puno: “You know, it appeared here in Manila that your people, they’re blaming each other, pointing fingers that ‘you should’ve checked this and that’.”
Manny Pacquiao: “You know, I talked to a Doctor from another hospital and he told me that it is impossible that they lost my record since it’s on a computer. It was impossible that they lost my record.”
Dong Puno: “Ah, yeah that’s it. So you didn’t really look for whose fault it was? You really think the hospital was at fault?”
Manny Pacquiao: “Yeah, it was the hospital’s fault, but we didn’t really, you know, since there’s no more time. The fight is in 2 days. So we didn’t really, in other words I have big doubts that it was just a part of their tactic.
And you know, after they took blood from me. I felt dizzy, the back of my head started hurting. The doctor said to drink a lot of water, but I couldn’t drink water, I couldn’t eat, so I just lied down and had it massaged.”
Dong Puno: “So, by fight time, you really felt your body weakened?”
Manny Pacquiao: “Yeah, I really felt it. When I was hitting Morales with my punches. I said to myself that if this is the only power I have, I won’t be able to knock Morales down.”
Dong Puno: “You know, Morales said that after the fight, He said that he didn’t feel any power from your punches.”
Manny Pacquiao: “That’s much better because he doesn’t how much power I have yet.”
Dong Puno: “Haha, so next time, you’ll make him feel it.”

Seriously, you are all commenting on medical issues that you all clearly do not know about. For your pea-sized brains, the human body has an average of 5 L (5000ml) of freaking blood in its system. A freaking blood test is about 5mL taken off one's body, yes you dumbfreaks! As for the people commenting on those people donating blood that amount of blood amounts to at least 450mL so yeah.... now when you compare that to a measly 5mL then that doesn't even register! The pro-Pacquiaos here are stupid. Yes, it's good to be backing your hero but the thing is there's no medical reasoning to hold support for his stance against doing this test. eg. For all those who donated blood (again that's 450mL out of 5000mL) you may take at least a day to recover if you're one of those unlucky few who have an unfavourable reaction to the loss of blood. So let's say Pacquaio is one of the unfortunate ones, then that means Mayweather's request for him to give blood at least 14 days before the fight is reasonable. He has a buffer of another 13 days to get over the "weakness". So all you Pacquaio fans, your hero’s stance seems devious. I know people have superstitions but seriously Pacquaio's stance doesn't make sense and only fuels doubt on how he achieved his great feats. As for the world also who do not know anything about Pacquaio's celebrity news back in the Philippines he has had many adulterous affairs. Now that's disappointing, if he can cheat on his wife then what stops him from applying that behaviour to his chosen sport? Para sa mga die-hard Pacquaio fans, mag isip-isip kayo. Pag pa drug-test nyo ang hero nyo kung wala nga sya itinatago. Sus maryosip, hindi na ba kayo natuto? This is a classic example of an olympic style blood testing as demanded by GBP and Mayweathers' camp. Blood was taken on Manny Pacquio days before the fight and I believe that it was random as it caught Manny by surprise. Did they find any evidence that Manny was on Performance Enhancing Drugs? This is a solid proof that indeed Manny is a clean fighter! Then why insist on Olympic Style testing even when it is not required by the Nevada Commission and yet there is no evidence that Manny is into drugs? This just shows that Mayweathers camp are scared in fighting Manny Pacquiao and they are just trying to weaken him.

Golden Boy Promotions knew about this since they co-promoted this fight and could possibly be using this scenario for their own purposes. World Anti Doping Agency website clearly states that blood tests though helpful is not necessary and may be used for certain reasons. Urinalysis is the best anti-doping test there is. This Video was taken 2005 after their fight with Morales. I do believe that Manny is for Real. Boxers are very selective about the food and drink that they take before the fight. After those rigorous training taking blood to this fighter could realy affect their performance. To replenish the blood taken from anyone is to drink a lot of water. That is no longer right because they are changes the amount of water the had to take. I give Gayweather props, he's got mental skills as well as boxing defensive skills. Here's what he did: he researched the last time PacMan lost and it was in 2005 vs Morales. Somehow he found out that Pac kinda blamed it on blood tests 2 days prior to the fight. He learned that this became one of Pac's superstition! 4 years ago Manny stated that he felt that a blood test 2 days before the fight weakened him. He has agreed to take 3 blood tests and unlimited urine tests. If you train hard and have to keep your weight which means you cant drink water, cant eat right before the fight. Gayweather is fighting in his natural weight class, Manny is not. Its harder for Manny to lose blood on empty stomach. Gayweather knew Manny was against blood tests right before the fight, he did a test 24 days before for Hatton fight, Gayweather lied and said this was 14 days before the fight. Manny has agreed to do a blood test 30 days before the fight which is reasonable. Dont you think Manny would be weakened if Gayweather forces him to do 5+ random drug tests in 30 days before the fight? You dont have to be scared of blood or needles to know that losing blood makes you feel weak. People who donate blood can pass out during the process but apparently Gayweather camp doesnt know that. Gayweather family has a documented history of drug use and certainly lack intelligence to know things like that. Instead of using their head they use their body to make a living. None of them would ever get a real job, they are not qualified to do anything but fight. We have to make special accomodation not to test him within certain times when testing could result in the unscientific 'weakening' of his body 2 days after. He would have been barred from being an Olympian, and so should his boxing license be revoked. He has a medical condition.
