Team Mayweather Refuse Bob Arum’s Final Offer, Bout Officially Dead?

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank promotions released a final offer to Team Mayweather earlier today for a drug testing compromise for the HBO March 13, 2010 Mayweather Jr. Vs. Pacquiao bout.
The key factor in this negotiation is the blood testing, Manny Pacquiao believes taking blood to close to the fight will make him weaker, while rumblings in the Mayweather camp, mainly by Floyd Mayweather Sr. are that Pacquiao is on some type of steroid or performance enhancing drugs.
Bob Arum’s offer of letting the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) handle the drug testing and not the USADA (U.S Anti-Doping Agency) was rejected today by Team Mayweather right before the Monday deadline.
Team Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe says they are sticking to their demand of random Olympic style drug testing that includes multiple random blood and urine samples up till the day of the official weigh in the day before the fight.
“Random is random” Ellerbe said. “We are all intelligent people and we know what random testing is. That is what we want and it has not changed.”
This means the possible replacement match up between Manny Pacquiao and Brooklyn boxer Paulie Malignaggi looms closer.

enough with mayweather. Pacquiao will make enough money to be happy with through sueing mayweather/team and the boxing world. thats the way it should and you never change a boxing rule just because of one fight (“a fight is a fight”)
There is indeed more room to improve for professional boxing. There should be a centralized body that provides for an extensive and clear anti-doping policy and procedure and consistently applied not only in the US but globally. However, to start that off in this potential mega-stakes fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather, is clearly pre-mature as the details need to be agreed by the various boxing organizations and agreed to by the boxers and their promoters. What we don’t want to see, is the Mayweather Camp and Golden Boy dictating and insinuating that they have the “higher ground” when in the first place, these players have NOT been the paragon of virtues. Golden Boy refused to have Mosley blood tested during his 2008 battle with Zab Judah claiming that Las Vegas only subscribes to urine tests (wow deja vu!) and the Mayweathers have been in the papers for all the wrong reasons (oh, recently, they did the slip off hand versus poor Marquez who had to move two weight classes higher, to be further crushed with extra pounds from Money May).

Sulaiman said Schaefer “is a very good finance man but he knows very, very little about boxing. He used to be a very nice person but he has changed badly.”
Sulaiman stressed “he shouldn’t worry, he’s clean. If Mayweather doesn’t want to fight him, let him go to hell.”
Oh well Floyd. Manny will never go broke even if he hung up his gloves right now. Floyd will be broke again next year if he turns this fight down. he will be broke in 4 years of he takes it and makes 40 million.

Floyd wants to change the boxing rule from NSAC to USADA blood style testing after he saw Pacman beating Cotto. I wonder is afraid of fighting Pacman coz he insisted to offer this kind of testing which never been used since decades. It’s so obvious that Floyd never wants this fight coz he is very scared with the Pacman. He ducks Cotto, Mosley, Paul, Margarito and Pacman, Floyd knows that these Class AAA fighters are a threat for him and he will never win. Who else Floyd would like to fight? This might be the end of PBF career in boxing. I hope there are still caliber fighters who want to fight him. It just confirmed what Mayweather’s haters that he is ducking fights. On the other hand, Pacquaio might have few fights more. There will be more blood test and urine test which will show negative on PED’s. Then he will go on to retirements.
I would rather see Mayweather fight a clean boxer than a tainted one.

It’s historically meaningful if Pacman faces Foreman by trying to get his 8th Title in 8 weight class.
