Video replay of Amir Khan vs. Dmitriy Salita (1st round knockout)

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Amir Khan successfully defended his WBA Jr welterweight title against Jewish boxer Dmitriy Salita on December 5th in Newcastle, England.  Amir wasted no time by blitzing Salita in the first round with a barrage of punches and dropping him several times before the ref stopped the fight.

Khan has shown a dramatic change in his boxing skills since hiring world famous boxing trainer Freddie Roach after his own 1st round KO loss to Columbian Breidis Prescott in September of 2008.

Khan will be the key sparring partner for Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao as he prepares for Floyd Money Mayweather Jr. in March of 2010.

Amir Khan vs. Dmitriy Salita entire fight video below

Well i was a skeptic on khan winning this fight but that was very quick fight and khan came thru and showed he is possibly the best fighter the uk has seen in a while! im currently working my way to pro boxing and i want to fight khan so much it would be a honour to fight him and i think i would have a very good chance in beating him, in my last fights i have won 19 lost 0 draw 3 so im sure khan would be intrested but its down to his promoter frank who wont let him fight anyone who is new blood to the sport as khan was beaten by new blood prescott but has only beaten fighters half way thru there boxing career or at the end so we will see what happens

MUSLIM’s comments are there to incite hatred between muslims and non-muslims.

half the time when comments like that are made its not even from a muslim but someone who hates them.

anonymous who just commented, I agree, it’s usually just dumb trolls trying to make muslims look bad usually. I wouldn’t be surprised if “MUSLIM” fitted that description, since he said “ALLAH O AKBAR” when it’s clearly “Allahu Akbar”. I’m not muslim and yet I know this.

This wasn’t muslim vs jew, this was boxer vs boxer, athlete vs athlete. The more prepared and better trained man won. Kudos to Khan, great fight and let’s hope he keeps on rolling! Although Mayweather is definitely gonna give him a run for his money.

    “TheBoxer100″ and “anonymous”

I agree with you both 100%.

P.S: Amir Khan is NOT going to fight Mayweather.

Manny Pacman is going to fight Mayweather. Amir Khan will be the sparring partner for Manny as they are both trained by the same coach; Fredie Roach who, ironically, was originally the coach of wayweather.

Amir Khan isnt in the same weight division as Manny and Floyd.

    :)

    Folks,

Proud to be a Muslim American. This fight was clearly not against two countries, but rather two religions, that is what it seemed like by looking at Dimitry- the Ukranian boxer. Alas, the better boxer, who also happens to be a proud Muslim, prevailed and won the fight in a matter of seconds. God is the Greatest !

And there you have it everyone, alas, case in point, Ad proves us right and his example is now there for everyone to see.

    Salam (peace).

By the way, I find it rather odd that you could come to the conclusion that it was between two religions by looking at the Ukrainian boxer – being Ukrainian is not a religion, kiddo.

Clearly just a troll. Perhaps I should disable follow up comments so I don’t have to read trash like this again.

Well, this muslim/ non-muslim thing……… i agree that half the times these comments are only to incite hatred by ppl who may not be muslims ……. on the other hand ……. sometimes muslims also make such comments to make their presence felt in something constructive (they wanna show we are doing something good too) cuz the media only shows the negative image of the muslim (don’t know why they do it) ……….
in any case, congratulation to aamir and I really wish him a great carear ahead specially cuz he is of Pakistani background (gives us Pakistanis something to be proud of, too :) )

I agree with theboxer100, it was a great ownage match and all, but these people here are inciting hatred and are probably all posers. They talk NOTHING like the many Muslims I have known and work with in person for years.

Besides, you’d think a Muslim would spell “Mashallah” correctly. In Islam, you’re supposed to get stuff like that right. So even if they are legit, they’re failures at their own religion. Haha.

I think that people who are getting religions involved should think twice. As many have already commented this was a fight Between two proffesional boxers, and the better man won. It’s some people like you who give Muslims a bad name, even Amir Khan stated that it is two professional boxers fighting and that he is not going to be prejudice about other religions. Think twice before you comment.

Amir Khan makes his Stateside debut against Paulie Malignaggi in New York on May 15.

Amir Khan is truly one of the best fighters.
