Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight DEAD! Mayweather Jr. refuses to accept offer

After nine long hours of mediation on Tuesday, Jan. 5 with retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein, the two camps for fighters Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao worked hard to come up with promising contract revisions they felt that both fighters would agree on.
But on Wednesday Jan. 6, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao were both given the revised proposal which Pacquiao reviewed and agreed on, but Mayweather Jr. didn’t and rejected the new offer.
The mega fight was scheduled to take place on March 13, 2010 at MGM Grand Las, Vegas. Since Mayweather Jr.s refusal the fight is declared dead.
There is no news of what the new proposal contained. The main problem holding the fight back was Olympic style blood testing demands from the Mayweather Jr. camp which stemmed from steroid accusations of Manny Pacquiao by the Mayweather family.

If there is a blood test for cowardice, Mayweather will get a positive.
If blood testing is institutionalized in international/professional boxing, no doubt Pacquiao will adhere to that. Pac and his team always indicated, whatever is required by the boxing commission or boxing authorities, they will abide. Definitely, moving forward Boxing authorities need to vet out what will be the appropriate tests for the sport (e.g. will it be a combination of urine or blood)
What Pacquiao will not adhere is giving in to a Group which is “NOT a paragon of virtues” – Mayweather Camp that continues to hug the limelight – for all the wrong reasons (run-ins with the law, tax problems, etc) and GBP which has a history of fighters ducking blood tests (and now trying to act like angels . . oh yeah, more like angels of dis-information and dirty tactics). Sad to see that they try to make a good case of random blood testing . . and then back-stab with articles in the media insinuating unsupported allegations. Well, the court of Law will now keep them honest, as a case has been filed.
Its unfortunate we always get excuses from those of the opposite side – - (a) Pacquiao is fighting washed up fighters . . next (b) Pacquiao the catch weight king . . . when, these two wouldn’t fly, even if these people shouted to the ends of the earth . . they, instantly rode on the (c) Pac must be on the roids. WOW, from dismissing Pacquiao’s performance as so-so . . to saying, “his hitting guys with a strength of a mule” . . same excuse, Delahoya was making “i thought pacquiao was fast, but he did’nt hit strong . . to suddenly, changing the music to claim that Pac hits like Mosley”.
So guys, the majority of the boxing fans and mainstream people will not buy in to your crap (LA times show 80-90% support for Manny). Lets see how the PPV of Mayweather stacks up moving forward (i.e. the only reason people watch him vs the bulk-slow moving Marquez, was a possible preview against Pac) . . bet Mayweather’s future numbers will not come close to Pac Monster, thats for sure!

Big fight coming up, boxer A claims he is uncertain he will face fairness on the night, so both fighters A and B should submit to a harmless test such as Olympic-style testing to put his mind at ease. Pacquiao, certain to beat Mayweather, and being supposedly a good God-fearing man, should have welcomed this gesture, however mischievious, to show good faith and belief in fair competition. I doesn’t matter that the proposed test is outside the existing framework, as long as we all agree it will make the sport better, why doesn’t anyone want to go along, especially with so much money to be made?

It will be not illegal or unethical if Pacquio refuses to take this kind of testing. It is not mandated by the Nevada Sports Commission, Nevada Boxing Association, and the Professional Boxing Association.
Even if it is, they will not do it two days before a fight when the boxers are trying to lose weight to meet the weigh-in requirements and they will have to fast before blood (10ml (red top) or two 5ml (red tops) tubes of blood) can be taken. Who in the right mind will do that?

For those of you who are Non-Athletes and just fight fans, you need to take it from someone who is both. If you have ever competed against someone who has used PEDS/Blood doping etc…, then you will know why it is alarming. PEDS change everything. It is the reason why A-ROD can hit 39 hr one year and 56 the next. It’s is the reason why Lance Armstrong can win a Tour de France while fighting cancer etc… These things tip the scale, not slightly, but dramatically. People are always inventing new was take drugs without being detected. Marion Jones did not get detected for PED’s/HGH until after her career was over. The Sport Industry are usually at a lag when it comes to testing for these things. I like both fighters, but take it from someone who has competed and lost against opponents who have taken PED’s/HGH. It is a big deal and can definately be the difference between a win and loss.
Sadly we include the other standard testing to compare with this one. First of all boxing have their own standard as the other sporting games has and with the players or athletes acknowledging that standard. If you then ask for more tests, the board has the right to agree or disagree with you. But in this case everybody agree except Mayweather, which simply said is too scare to fight Pacman. He (mayweather) has the record or history of refusing to fight the other great boxers like mosley, cotto, etc. Simply put Mayweather championship belt is tainted. He did not defend it. He just keeps it in his closet. He will not retire as undefeated champion but rather as “undefended champion”. I respect more the other fighters who loss but gallantly fight to put his best for the boxing fan.
