Watch HBO Boxing Lopez vs. Luevano and Gamboa vs. Mtagwa Live!
On Saturday Jan. 23, 2010, HBO B.A.D (Boxing After Dark) Presents an action packed double header: Undefeated Puerto Rican, Juan Manuel Lopez (27-0, 24 KO’s) vs. Steven Luevano (37-1-1, 15 KO’s) for Luevano’s WBO featherweight title and Cuban Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa (16-0-14 KO’s) vs. Rogers Mtagwa (26-13-2, 18 KO’s) for Gamboa’s WBA featherweight title.
Juan Ma Lopez is a former WBO super bantamweight titlist and will be going for his second weight division title at featherweight.
Tanzanian Rogers Mtagwa who put on one of the most entertaining fights of 2009 when he fought Juan Manuel Lopez at 122 pounds will be stepping up to the 126 pound featherweight division as well to try and pull off the upset against the favored Cuban boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa.
Should Lopez and Gamboa win their respective fights they will meet in a mega showdown sometime later in the year.
The event will take place at Madison Square Garden, New York, New York and televised live on HBO at 9:45 PM ET/PT.

Gamboa looks like a beast… a beast on something. This guy should be tested for something. I can’t exactly point what it is but I just have a hunch that he is on something.
Why? Because Gamboa isn’t black unlike Floyd Mayweather Jnr, so he must be on something to be that strong, fast and furious.
