Some people need to develop a thicker skin and not let a comedian’s words bother them. I am Filipino-American and I heard the interview where Adam Carolla made comments regarding Manny Pacquiao and the Philippines. I don’t agree with those comments about Pacquiao praying to chicken bones because that is untrue he is a devout Catholic, but people are overly sensitive, Adam Carolla is a comedian, he’s also a bitter dude, that is his trademark, he rants a lot and complains.

Filipinos shouldn’t even pay attention to any of this or take it serious. The more you pay attention to it, the more it gives Adam Carolla’s comments some substance. Think about it Adam Carolla was stating the obvious, if Adam Carolla didn’t use such vulgar curse words people wouldn’t have a problem. If you look past his obscene choice of words, and get his point, you can see the truth in his comments.
There is some truth to his comments. If you visit YouTube or other message boards, some Filipino Pacman fans are racist and vulgar themselves when they leave comments. Some go so far as to wish death on people who make videos or write articles that don’t praise Manny Pacquiao, that right there is proof that some Filipinos are extreme in their obsession with Pacquiao. To wish death on someone’s family or call black people the N-word and other racist comments to Floyd Mayweather Jr is OK? However, when someone says something about them or Pacquiao it’s wrong! Look at all the negative comments some Filipino Pacquiao fans say about Mayweather, calling him Gayweather, Kentucky Floyd Chicken, Gorilla and the N-word, but the moment you say Mayweather will beat Pacquiao or mention Pacquiao and steroids, you are wrong and a bad person, it’s only OK for them to say vulgar words but not OK for you to say anything negative against Pacquiao.

Bruce Blitz exposes takes a stand against racism coming from Manny Pacquiao fans.
What Adam Carolla meant was if Filipinos follow one man’s life and they are obsessed over his every move they have nothing going for them as a country. The more Filipinos complain about Carolla and get hurt the more the comments gain truth. I doubt Manny Pacquiao cares what people say about him, because he turns the other cheek and the more you care about what people say the more you lose. Prove Adam Carolla wrong; show him Filipinos have a life besides Manny Pacquiao.
