FLOYD WOULD RATHER FIGHT PACQUIAO THAN KHAN

Please, Floyd fighting against Khan? That’s a fight that I swear my life on that will never happen. It will never happen because Khan would lay waste Floyd Mayweather. Floyd would rather fight Manny Pacquiao than to fight Amir Khan. It’s not because Khan is better than Pacquiao, it because Khan has the style, size, and reach to dominate Floyd. Floyd and company will never, ever agree to fight Khan. Not now, not tomorrow, not in the future.
Floyd’s main weapon is his jab. He uses the jab to set up all his other punches. If his jab becomes ineffective, all his other offensive weapons are greatly diminished. Khan’s reach and quick jab will keep Mayweather guessing all night long. Mayweather has no advantage over Khan except experience; but Khan has had enough fights under his belt for that to matter.
There is no one like Khan that Floyd has fought. Khan’s jab is superior to anyone that Floyd has fought. There is also no one who is as quick and lenghty as Khan that Floyd ever fought. Even the reach and size of an old and washed up Oscar Dela Hoya presented problems for Floyd. Khan has the style, reach, size, talent, length, youth and ability to easily beat Floyd.
Camp Mayweather knows they are totally outgunned by Khan and Roach. Trust me, there will be talk of a Khan versus Mayweather fight; but that’s all it is going to be, just talk and nothing more. Roach has figured out Floyd. That is why Mayweather will never fight Khan, and he will not fight Pacquiao anytime soon. Pacquiao is in his prime, he is too good right now, too strong, and too fast.
Floyd will wait for Pacquiao to lose a little bit of ability, maybe wait for Pacquiao to lose more than a little bit. He will rest his body and watch Pacquiao strain his body by fighting bigger guys like Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley. It’s Sugar Ray Leonard’s strategic move, Ray waited for Marvin Hagler to get old. Ray also did the waiting game against Thomas Hearns. After nine years, Ray thought Hearns was old and washed up enough to give him a rematch.
I will never write another article again on this site if a Khan versus Mayweather ever happens. In fact, I’ll burn all my boxing memorabilia and post it on youtube if Mayweather has the guts and stupidity to fight Khan. I’ll even cut off a finger, Yakuza style, and post it on youtube for everyone to see.
Floyd has absolutely no chance at beating Khan. And for that reason Mayweather will stay as far away from Khan as possible. Give me one advantage that Mayweather has on Khan. Mayweather can look good against a 38 years old Mosley, and look good against a fatten up and slow 37 year old Juan Manuel Marquez, and Mayweather can beat an old and washed up Oscar De La Hoya, but Mayweather will look like crap against a taller, younger, bigger, faster, and superior boxer in Khan. There is no advantage that Floyd has over Khan, none, nada, zero, zilch!!! And those are the reasons why it will absolutely not happen.
TRUST ME, FLOYD KNOWS I’M RIGHT! THAT IS WHY THERE WILL NEVER BE A KHAN/MAYWEATHER FIGHT.

Besides, Khan is listed as having a 71″ WING SPAN.
PBF is listed at 72″ WING SPAN.
If you didn’t know, you divide that by a factor of 2.
Marquez has wing span of 67″
He does not have the reach to be effective against PBF.

Don wake up Don, Khan is a nobody with respect to the top fighters in the world. Khan has beaten none of the top fighters in the world. He needs for proving. I have read a few of your articles now Don and its clear you will say just about anything. Just because Khan sparred with Manny does mean he’ll beat Floyd. Many guys say Floyd doesn’t look that fast while they sit outside the ring, but it’s a whole different experience when you’re face to face. He’s got enough hand speed to hit any body, Plus he’s got the best defense out there. There is only one fighter that has a chance to beat Floyd and it’s Manny. You say styles make fights, Miranda has hand speed like a turtle and he was able to get some pretty good licks in on Khan. If he was faster he would have knbock Khan’s ass out late in the fight. I agree 100% with you Don, Khan proved not only does he have a rock solid chin getting hit by maidana the hardest puncher in the world with numerous clean flush shots and not going down once! Why was khan unable to box maidana so effectively because khan was hurt and anyone would be after absorbing such brutality he did the right thing back off get his legs back, showed lots of heart and will to win. He showed he had the stamina to last full 12 rounds and the combinations and skills to dominate maidana. He won one of the HBO and espn’s and sports illustrated’s fight of the year. Khan has shown he has the missing piece which was his chin and is much more resilient at 140 pds.
its not the chin that a fighter develops its the ability to clear your head after a flush punch and probably during his fierce sparring sessions with pacquiao and other hard pressure fighters he has developed punch resistance which is nice to see. He will only get stronger as he hits prime. He will go onto to beat bradley/alexander and then beat mayweather! You are correct mayweather does not have any advantages, if maidana could not KO Khan I doubt mayweather would be able to from that defesive style. Did you read my other predictions? I said Margarito was going to be shut out. I said the Marquez/Katsidis fight will be similar in the first Diaz/Marquez fight and end in a similar way. I pick the winner of the Williams/Martinez fight. I pick Khan by UD. I also said that Margarito was
too big to be KO’d by Paquiao and the only way it was going to be stop is on cuts by accumulative punches; that would have happen if the ref did his job.

I’m sure Khan vs Mayweather Jr match will happened, if Khan agree the random drug testing. Mayweather Sr won’t let his Jr fight without “even playing field” just like their match against Marquez weighing 144 and Mayweather Jr weight 160. Mosley PED user agree the random drug testing with the cut off of 19 days before the fight. Pacquiao agree random drug test 7 days before the fight and right after the fight and suddenly Mayweather back out and never heard of him.

Just so you know, two pounds heavier at the weight in means nothing. In the day welterweight was 140 to 147 lbs. Obviously two pounds means nothing in the boxing game when seven pounds is ok. Heavy weights are 30, 40 and sometimes 50 lbs apart in weight. I’m sure that doesn’t bother you. Pay attention.

In Margarito’s case, I said he would lose in a shut out against Pacquiao, in Marquez/Katsidis, I said it the fight would be like the first Marquez/Diaz fight and end in a similar way.

Floyd is a quality fighter, but as pointed out…he does pick the fights when they suit him. Pacman is totally justified in refusing drug tests on Floyd’s terms….the boxing authorities have their own official testing programme….why on earth should Pacman bow to Floyd and do extra? Has anyone else been asked for extra tests in Floyd’s past?? This is clearly a man losing his mind and trying to do all he can to put Pacman off.

Most boxing commissions are decades behind technology. If Manny was the best and clean he would simply take the challenge, beat-up Floyd and shame him for making such an outlandish claim, but Manny does not want any part of proving Floyd wrong. Make no mistake, there are fighters taking performance enhancers. Why, the pay-days are too big these days. The money is crazy. A Top world class fighter can make upwords of 100 to 200 million over a career. There a saying in sports that’s known around the world and if you don’t know this saying I guess you never competed at a high level and it goes, “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying to win”. Hell, Nolan Ryan use to put pine-tar on his finger tips to get the curve ball to bite. Margarito use to put plaster in his gloves in an attempt to win. Ty Cobb corked his bat and filed his kleets on the doug out steps to show how willing he was to get a stolen base. It will come in time, it has to because of the way they handle the weigh-in. The way the weigh-in is handled allows fighters to fight outside of their natural weight class. There is too much time between the weigh-in and fight night. Back in the day you weighed-in the day of the fight and you put your gloves on in the ring and both fighters wore the same gloves.
I hope Bob Arum lets Manny fight Floyd, don’t you? I believe Manny would take the tests if he were clean. Honestly, think about it for a second but I’m inclined to believe that any fighter that has a chance to win the fight against Manny will ask Manny to take blood tests. It will become a trend in the future, the Pay-Days are too BIG.

Mark…the majority of Floyd’s opponents for the last 5-6 years were washed up. Sharmba Mitchell, Arturro Gatti and Oscar De La Hoya were all well past their prime…and Oscar is the only one of the three that could have been considered elite in his prime. I would say Baldomir was past his prime (in his mid 30′s) but I’m not sure when his prime was. The guy was a journeyman with 9 losses on his record. Judah…Exactly how many big wins has he had. He faced Floyd carrying losses against Baldomir, Tszyu and Spinks and has since lost to Cotto and CLottey (looked like shit in his last fight). That leaves the 37 year old Marquez who was coming up 2 weight classes in half a year to face face Floyd…who still showed up 2 weights over the agreed upon catch weight. Not a very impressive resume for the self proclaimed GOAT.

Kelz…you are kidding yourself. Mitchell was 35 years with 60 fights under his belt. He retired the following year after getting KO’d by Mitchell. Gatti was a warrior and entertaining fighter but was 34 and his body had taken a major beating in his 45 fights. He went on to get ko’d by 2 of his next 3 opponents then retired 2 years later. Oscar was well past his prime. After an unsuccessful trip to Middleweight he got whopped by Felix Sturm (clear robbery) and Hopkins. He taken an extensive layoff only fighting the one hit wonder Mayorga in the 3 years before the Mayweather fight. He then went on to give a lackluster performance against a so-so boxer in Forbes then got retired by Pacquiao in a embarrassingly lopsided fight. You are in complete denial if you can’t see these were fighters in a steep decline when Floyd fought them.

You are not correct. None of those fighters were washed up when they fought Floyd. I think if you’d do some honest work in research you’ll discover that Floyd fought each one of those guys when they were at the top of their games. Do some research. Do you know how to compare and contrast? You are just talking with no substantiation. Pay Attention. Read and compare and contrast. Bring you findings to the forum. I’m sure you won’t be able to make the points you’re making. Carlos Baldomir had not lost a fight since 1998 when he fought Mayweather in 2006 plus the guys that you are making your point with were not puch drunk. In other words they had not been beaten badly in any fights as have the opponents that Manny has been in the ring with. The only one that hadn’t been beat down was Clotty and he’s a stablemate as are the rest of them. Do some research kid. Manny has not been in with any stiff competition, just stablemates.

Khan beat Maidana and would have done so easily had he kept his cool in the first few rounds.Either way it was a good fight.I reckon you won’t see a Khan Mayweather fight either as in another year or two Khan will be able to beat Mayweather.Mayweather is a fake ,he is a good boxer but all his wins have been against half assed or passed it boxers.Watching him fight is very boring and saying he can adjust to anyone’s style is lunacy.He does the same crap every fight and only adjusts his timing.His best fight,as in some-one who wasn’t past it ,was Ricky Hatton and even parts of that fight were dodgey.With the ref constantly saying Hattons name and Mayweather turning his back Saying that he did a number on him.bUT THEN ALONG CAME LITTLE pACQUIAO AND SHOWED HIM HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY.
