UFC president Dana White, a long time boxing fan who runs the worlds largest Mixed Martial Arts company in the world has never held his tongue when it comes to the topic of Floyd Mayweather Jr..
Dana White and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have known each other for many years, even before he was president of UFC and Floyd was the mega star he is today, but it wasn’t until Floyd Mayweather Jr. started making insulting remarks about the UFC and their fanbase when Dana White actually had a problem with Mayweather. Mayweather’s been known to be racial and play the race card in his favor on many occasions like saying this about UFC:
“It takes true skills to be in the sport of boxing, and mixed martial arts is for beer-drinkers. Boxing is for everybody. I mean, you can’t take my shoes off and take my shirt off and just throw me in a cage. You do that with animals, you don’t do that with humans…In boxing, we know who’s dominating. Black fighters and Hispanic fighters is dominating in this sport. And this is not a racial statement but there’s no white fighters in boxing that’s dominating, so they had to go to something else and start something new.”
Let’s not forget his infamous ignorant and racist Ustream rant talking brave behind his computer about Manny Pacquiao the man he has been ducking for years. Floyd said he will force Pacquiao to “make him some sushi rolls and cook some rice,” (Sushi is a Japanese food, Pacquiao is Filipino). Floyd also said “we’re going to cook that yellow chump with some cats and dogs.” making a stereotype statement about Asians eating cats and dogs, it would be like seeing a black person in a high class restaurant and asking if they would like watermelon, pigs feet and fried chicken, that would be a very offensive assumption. Floyd has yet to step up and fight Pacquiao, but continues to talk about it like he is actually going to do something about it.
And recently Floyd tweeted this about NBA standout Jeremy Lin only getting hyped because he was Asian:
“Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.” – Tweet
Dana White gave his thoughts on Mayweather’s rant on Asian stars Jeremy Lin and Manny Pacquiao and puts it bluntly “Yes Floyd, You’re Racist” and calls Floyd out for demanding more than a 50/50 split with Manny Pacquiao. Watch the video below:
