Watch HBO Boxing PPV: Juan Manuel Marquez, Brandon Rios, Mike Alvarado and Mercito Gesta

Mexican boxing great and champion in three weight divisions Juan Manuel Marquez returns to the ring after his close decision loss to Manny Pacquiao and also headlining the pay-per-view with Marquez is undefeated lightweight champion Brandon Rios.

Juan Manuel Marquez is considered one of the top 10 best pound for pound boxers in the world today, and will most notably be remembered for his 3 tough outings against longtime rival Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao fights where Juan Manuel fell short but it’s debatable to the boxing public who really won the Pacquiao vs. Marquez fights because of how closely fought they were. On April 14, Marquez will fight against Sergey Fedchenko of Ukraine at 140-pounds.

Brandon Rios is an undefeated fighter who is known for his head first, all guts style of brawling, he was originally scheduled to fight undefeated Cuban featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, but Gamboa pulled out of the fight due to contractual issues, so another Cuban Richard Abril stepped in to replace Yuriorkis Gamboa.

Also featured on the pay-per-view card are two undefeated rising stars junior welterweight Mike Alvarado and Filipino lightweight stand out Mercito Gesta. Mike Alvarado is coming off of an impressive knockout victory of Breidis Prescott and is on his way to title contention in the 140-pound division if he gets by his scheduled opponent Mauricio Herrera tonight. Mercito Gesta a native of the Philippines is looking to follow the footsteps of Filipino boxing stars Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire, and hoping that a great performance over Oscar Cuero would put him in line to face Juan Manuel Marquez or Brandon Rios next.

The Marquez vs. Fedchenko fight will take place in Mexico City and the Brandon Rios vs. Richard Abril, Mike Alvarado and Mercito Gesta portion of the Top Rank/HBO PPV card will be broadcast live from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
