Paulie Malignaggi hints that Manny Pacquiao might be on something

Featured, Interviews, News

After Manny Pacquiao’s impressive KO victory of IBO light welterweight champion Ricky Hatton on May 2, 2009, Floyd Mayweather Sr. had accused Manny Pacquiao of taking steroids or enhancement drugs(Mayweather accuses Pacman of steroids).

Days Prior to Pacquiao’s fight with WBO welterweight Champion Miguel Cotto on Saturday Nov. 14, boxer Kermit Cintron also believed that the Pacman was on something(Cintron believes Pacman is on something).

After Manny Pacquiao’s dominating win over Miguel Cotto, a fight in which Pacquiao took all of Cotto’s best punches and shook them off even dropping Cotto twice in the fight, the  rumors that the fighter could be taking steroids or performance enhancing drugs were in the air again, this time by former Cotto foe, Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi.

In an interview with BoxingScene, Paulie Malignaggi was discussing his upcoming HBO rematch on December 12th, with Juan Diaz, when the topic changed to the Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight, Malignaggi had this to say:

What did you think of Pacquiao’s win over Cotto?

Paulie Malignaggi: I think there is something up with Manny Pacquiao. I am not going to get into it.  I think people will understand what I am saying.  Full blown welterweights don’t take those type of punches from Miguel Cotto the way he took them with total disregard for his power nor do they hurt him with every punch they hit him with.  These are full blown welterweights I am talking about.  This guy is coming up in weight and doing all these things.  There is something up with this guy but that’s as far as I am going to go into it.  Floyd Mayweather (Senior) has gotten into it a little bit.  There have been other fighters who have mentioned it.  I am not going to get into no controversy.  I am going to leave it at that.  There is something that seriously makes me feel weird about Manny Pacquiao.  I am going to leave it at that.”

right! and steroids will allow you to be a stronger puncher and take blows easily.

yeah! and this particular steroids will never show on your blood work. blood work can show pretty much any chemical in your body, including steroids, but the steroids that manny is taking is so advance, only the philippine government has the skills and technology to develop one. and, it’s only develop so all filipinos can bet all over the world can bet their souls just to win a boxing match.

right Paulie… i think you got it right on!

Admit it folks, every boxer on tnis planet is awed by Manny’s strength and conditioning. He’s a living legend and you should all cherish the idea that you have seen Manny Pacquiao box.

Pacman has ‘anting-anting.’ Seriously, if the Pac was on roids then we should have seen a bulging body, bugger than Cotto’s.

Maybe Mayweather is floating this idea so he could get away from fighting Pacquiao. The sissy is at it again.

I am a fan of Manny Pacquiao he is an inspiration to me. I am from Pakistan but to me Pacman is the man of the people and he is good friend with Amir Khan a fellow Pakistani.

When I hear and see this allegations of steroids it hurts me, why is this even be mention?

What did Pacquiao do to deserve this insulting accusations he is a good man and a humble person and hero to many who have nothing.

please stop this it is tarnishing this mans legacy he doesn’t deserve anything but praise.

Paulie Malignaggi is just looser. He can’t take punches & can’t even hurt someone. Look at his records. How many KO’s? A poor boy whose prediction was wrong and then riding in a boat with the big mouth Mayweather. Mayweather said before he really want Jr. to fight Pacquiao. After the Pacqauio/Cotto fight he said he will advise his son not to fight Pacquiao. Sr. knew his son have no chance of beating Pacquiao and the only way to avoid the fight is accuse him. What loooserr for both Mayweater Paulie Malignaggi.

Some people who have never experienced “hardship” in life may never understand where Manny Pacquiao’s strength is coming from. His preparation in every fight is not just physical but emotional, psychological, and spiritual as well. Manny Pacquiao never claimed he was unbeatable, he never claimed he is the best, he just knows that when he trains hard, gives it his all and acknowledges that there is someone up there greater than all of us, nothing can ever go wrong. Malignaggi and Mayweather either doesn’t know what they are talking about or they are into whatever steroids they are refering to. Sore losers!

It’s all speculations. Best thing to do is for the Boxing Commission to subject him to a physical test just like what they did with Margarito. But for now, we just have to accept the truth that he won the fight last Saturday night. Congratulations Mr. Pacquiao!!!

I totally agree with Ahmed and I echo everything you say. I am an American but I too find great inspiration in Manny. Manny is one of the most humble athletes that ever walked the face of this earth EVER and he helps so many people less fortunate than he is that the press can’t keep up with him. The world will never fully know how many people Manny has truly helped because much of it is not publized (because Manny doesn’t want it to be) Manny would never even consider doing anything like what he’s accused of. As far as his personal life; that is his and Jinkee’s business – not anyone elses.

Anyone who will take a little time and research what Manny is all about will see that he is the genuine article. He IS the greatest boxer of our era. Maybe the greatest fighter ever. Period.

There’s one MAIN reason that Manny would NOT take illegal stimulants:
1) He’s trying to get into politics and that has been WIDELY reported. Why would someone trying to get into politics risk credibility by taking any illegal stimulant?

Does ANYBODY that is actually considering these allegations take this into consideration at all? Manny goes out of his way to help the Filipino people and the Philippines in general. Yeah, he’s not perfect, nobody is. That also doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have extraordinary work ethic either.

FYI, Kobe Bryant, who also happens to be friends with Manny AND is commonly sponsored by Nike, is a workaholic when it comes to his craft. Kobe has gained 15-20 pounds of muscle in a summer before, jumping from 205 to 220. If Kobe Bryant is able to reach that accomplishment, why the heck is it THAT unbelievable that Manny Pacquiao is able to do this? Is it because he’s Asian?

These outlandish claims are just as bad as me trying to say that EVERYBODY claiming this steroid ish could be true is RACIST.

Hahaha…. Just I suspected earlier when Malignaggi predicted that Cotto would win his fight against Pacquiao. He was so sure that Cotto was too big and powerful for Pacquiao that it’s impossible for Cotto to lose. Now that Pacquiao beat Cotto, Malignaggi is claiming the excuse of drug-enhancement use by Pacquiao. He wants to get into the nerve of Pacquiao that the latter might challenge him into a future bout and get millions, too. Nice try. But, Pacquiao only wants to fight the best out there. He will never be in the level of elite fighters.

This is what I can’t stand when people don’t have a clue anything about steroids. First off, Manny has passed all testing in performance enhancing drugs…whether it is steroids or any prohormones. Another thing, steroids don’t make you immune to punches. It doesn’t make your head armor plated. A person on steroids can just as easily get knocked out whether you are on steroids or not. Steroids is a hormone, not an armor.Paul is talking out of his ass and thats including Mayweather Sr…who is an uneducated high school dropout. Roberto Duran in his prime had a super chin, was he on steroids? How about Evander Holyfield, who had an incredible chin…was he on steroids to? Manny developed a great chin, and that doesn’t equate anywhere near involving steroids. STEROIDS doesn’t give you a great chin. Give the champ his due and don’t accuse or even bring it up if you don’t have any proof or anything to back it up.

To Cinto. Actually you kinda miss read what AC is saying. What AC is saying that it is not so far fetched that someone can gain 15 lbs over the summer. Some people have an unusual high testosterone production and Kobe who is a gifted athlete can gain some muscle with proper nutrition, weight training program, and the right legal supplements. Top flight elite athletes are sometimes gifted with great genetics. Some people can grow muscles quite easily because they may have high testosterone production. Kobe can be one of them.

I have seen almost every pacman fight from 112 pounds to now. Here is why i think it is likely he is on perfomance enhancement drugs:

1- Physique: Just recently Juan Manuel Marquez moved up alot of weight to fight Mayweather, Marquez unlike Pacman retained some water weight. He was muscular but not ripped as pacman who now looks like bruce lee. Boxer Kermit Cintron has said there is no way without some perfomance enhancement drugs can you gain over 20 pounds of muscle in such a short time. Even Duran, De La Hoya, and Mayweather didnt look that ripped.

2- He seems to get stronger with weight. If you look at pacman he was actually knock down 5 times at 126 and lower. He was knocked out twice by torrecampo and Singurat 3k batter, and was taken down by a stiff jab by Hussein at 122. But now he is willing to allow Cotto give him free body shots on the ropes. Cotto a man who can knockout a natural welter with ONE body shot and couldnt do any damage to pac with dozens. He had to go 12 rounds with Marquez twice, Larios, and Morales (1st fight) but now he can physically dominate naturally bigger fighters as David Diaz, De la hoya, Hatton, and Cotto.

3-Stamnia – Most fighters show fatigue and less sting in their punches in the late rounds. But pacman never shows any signs of that. in fact, the volume of punches get hige often. People say steroids hamper stamina for boxing. WRONG. If steroids don’t help stamina why would pitchers like Clemens and Pettite take them if they decrease and not increase pitches thrown and innings pitched. In addition, these drugs help increase recovery time. Most importantly, pacman has been active for 15 years as a fighter and he never shows any effects of his tough fights. His energy seems to be get higher even after numerous slugfests. After Duran fought Hagler in a 15 round battle he had nothing left for Thomas Hearns and was knocked out in 2 rounds.

4-Head- His head seems to get bigger in proporation to his body. These are signs of HGH and other substances.

5- Designer Steroids can’t be Traced- The fact is synthethic steroids as THG, Madol and Genabol can’t be traced. There are also synthetic stimulants that can’t be traced. So of course he hasen’t tested positive.

6-Never heard of Steroids: Manny has stated he never heard of steroids. That is both humorous and preposterous at once. I guess when they do his blood and urine drug tests he thinks they are checking if he takes Flinstones Vitamins for kids or if he takes energy bars. Of course, HE KNOWS. They even have to sign papers with random drug tests. That sounds very defensive to say i never heard of steroids.

7-No Wear Down: All fighters are human after numerous fights they start to show age and wear down. Pacman has been active for 15 years as a fighter and he never shows any effects of his tough fights. His energy seems to be get higher even after numerous slugfests. After Duran fought Hagler in a 15 round battle he had nothing left for Thomas Hearns and was knocked out in 2 rounds. Even Hagler after the Duran fight looked shaky with Roldan early on. He even had his only official knockdown on the 1st round. Although some will argue it was half slip and half punch. Pacman has had tough wars with Morales, Marquez, Sanchez, Barreras etc., yet he seems to be impervious to slowing down as a fighter. Hagler a very conditioned fighter definitely started to slow down after his fights with Duran, Hearns, and John Beast Mugabi. Hagler was very slow in the Leonard fight due to the constant wars he had.

8- Top Rank doesent sue for Libel or Slander: Floyd Mayweather Jr and his father both have accused pacman of taking perfomance enhancing drugs. Bob Arum is an attorney why wouldnt he seek relief and damages for his top prize fighter’s reputation being questioned? Because if top rank sues and they testify and its proven later that manny took drugs than they can go to jail for perjury. Some will say he wants to fight mayweather so he wont sue but other fighters as Kermit Cintron have already accused him. NO LAWSUIT yet.

9-Philippine culture: This dosent sound politically correct but i know the culture, I been to the philippines. I can speak some tagalog and cebuano. The country has a long history of corruption, scandals, and political wrong doing. The manila airport is the only major airport that charges a terminal fee for using their facility. Hotels are known to trump up charges on visitors. Manny knows the culture wells. The motivation is to make millions of dollars by cheating. If Manny stays at Featherweight and lower he wont make $10-$20 Million fight. He at best will be like Chris John of Indonesia a featherweight making at most $1 million a fight.

10- Defies Reality: Unfortunately, we have seen boxers as Vargas, Jones, Toney, Mosley get caught. We were foolish to believe that Mcgwire and Sosa hit 70 home runs and 66 home runs due to hard work and talent. Than Barry Bonds breaks the record a few years later, a record that couldnt be touch for nearly 40 years. Now we have a boxer that is Henry Armstrong with shocking power. When De La Hoya fought Hopkins at 160 he was KOd with one body punch. THe Great Jose Napoles couldnt handle the naturally bigger Monzon, Arguello couldnt finish Pryor on his quest for his 4th weight division crown. Now we have a Flyweight knocking out welters SO EASy. He is like a God. But he didnt look like a god before at 122. He is not a god. He is JUST JUICED UP.

To Pacroid!

NPBB, Natural Professional Bodybuilders have been around for years and they get super ripped. With proper nutrition, proper weight training you can achieve muscularity along with vascularity with minimal bodyfat. Manny may be ripped but he is not overly muscular. It is done through proper diet, timing, the quality of muscle building foods, and proper rest. Have you ever heard of Eat,sleep, and grow? Top natural bodybuilder don’t hit their peak until in their 30’s when they have mature muscle. You can achieve great muscularity without the size through knowing the right foods to eat and avoid, also the right legal supplements.

People are so quickly to judge people right away without the facts. They just base it upon their own feelings. When going to court, the judge doesn’t base anything on feelings but only with solid proof. Terrell Owens, who is super ripped and jacked, has never been tested positive for steroids. Even Dwight Howard, who is a physical specimen, jacked to the hilt also never tested positive for anabolic steroids. These guys are physically gifted and I believe superior athletes are given this special attributes. It doesn’t necessarily equate to steroids. With McGwire, you can tell by his sheer size that something was up. I didn’t accuse him of steroids until some proof is present. But McGwire’s testimony…or lack their of really suggested he did steroids. Also Jose Canseco who is a witness and a participant of actually injecting steroids into McGwire. Until Manny is tested positive, don’t even suggest or even hint that he is taking performance enhancers. It can be damaging because you put into someone head…in this case, everyone’s head. I’ve been accused of taking steroids and when in fact I am 100% clean. I know what it is like being accused of something you haven’t done. I know some things about proper nutrition, weight training. Still to this day, some people still think I take steroids. Some people like to hate and think of the worse. Until I see and hear facts and witnesses, I don’t make false accusations.

People like Floyd Mayweather and Paulie Malignaggi
will never grow. They never been a Professional Athlete. They talked so much garbage that makes someone sick. Father like son, that’s right. Oscar Dela Hoya should promote a fight for this two loser. It’s gonna be Free Per View. I’ll never waste a penny to watch Floyd Mayweather fight unless he fights with Manny. His fight with Oscar Del Hoya was a big joke. The fight with Marquez is another joke. A very small 36 year old man match up with a boxer who is claiming himself to be the number one pound for pound boxer in the world, that’s crazy. Anyway, I watch it free but it makes me sick. Floyd Mayweather is very insecure about Manny’s latest performances. He Knows that his chances of winning against Manny Pacquiao is very thin. The only way he will fight with Manny Pacquiao is for a BIG BIG PAY (MONEY). Manny Pacquiao also needs a big pay. He needs this to help the unfortunate. He fights for a good cause. He is known for his generosity and Kindness. That’s Manny Pacquiao’s legacy, tell me what’s yours.

The whole world knew about his intense training regimen so i dont even see it as a big deal that he can outpunch anyone considering he’s a speed demon and a powerful boxer at the lower weight division to begin with. People that have accused him of wrongdoings are either boxers that are jealous of his achivements or just plain losers and haters that has nothing better going in their own miserable lives. It’s amazing how Pacquiao has now become that all these class b, jealous boxers are associating his ferociousness and heart with steroid use. That’s how fearsome Pacquiao has now become, they think he’s on steroids. Obviously, he’s not. Pacquiao is prepared and equipped for these events. What I mean by that is he has the mental toughness, heart, discipline, and dedication, all invaluable qualities he possess when he’s on training and he’s fighting. And that what really sets him apart from all these other boxers. That why he is the athlete and fighter that he is today which is hard to decipher for class b fighters like paulie….Paulie, read more about Pacquiao, know his history and watch his videos, and you’ll understand why he’s so feroucious and unmerciful inside the right…

At Pacroid,
You bring plausible points about the possibility of Pacman being on steroids. I am responding to you because you make for reasonable argument. Here’s what I have to say to you:
If you train that way Pacquiao trains, you can’t help but get a rip physique, a body fat % of 5 to 6. Pac’s routine 6 days/wk for 8 weeks consist of roadwork for 1 hour, rounds of sparring that incrementally increases and peak to 12 rounds by the 6th week, 12-16 rounds of mitts. In addition, he does the speed ball, the bag, he jump ropes and he does whatever pylometric exercise Ariza has him do. And not that Pacquiao is bulky—he is not—he’s lean and ripped. He stands 5’ 61/2” and weighs between 145-150 lbs which is an ideal body weight (IBW) for his height. He was skinny back then because of two reasons: he was young ( I was 30 pounds lighter when I was in my late teens as compared to my weight now at the age of 31) Secondly, he was poor. Even when he started boxing, he was getting chump change that he couldn’t afford nutritious food.
It’s not like he’s the only human being to have transformed his physique to what it is now. With discipline, proper nutrition, and training, it can be achieved as well.

He gets stronger primarily because he goes up in weight, particularly in muscle mass. Don’t tell me that when you do resistance training for a period of time that you cant improve your power, that you’re stuck with the weight that you’ve started with in day one. And let’s not forget, Pacquiao already has the power to begin with; he was knocking people out already with his left hand even when he was a young, unpolished, scrawny, underfeed boxer back in his teen days. As every health expert would tell you, he’s power comes from his legs. Have you seen the guy’s calves? Let me explain to you, when you got legs like Pacquiao’s and you have strong solid core like he has, the full percentage of that power is transmitted into his punch. His power not only doesn’t come from his arms and chest but also from his legs. His legs enhance his punching power. Do you notice how he plants his feet when he throws that straight left punch? He pushes with his left leg as he throws his left hand. That’s a lot power generated from his leg and transmitted to his punch, that’s why he has that knockout power. You bring up that he could take a punch from a bonafide welterweight. Well, Cotto didn’t connect a solid punch to the knockout spot. Pac took a knee after Skinny Hussein’s punch because he hit the knockout spot. But did you finish watching the video, he fought through and weathered the storm and won the bout despite being on wobbly legs the rest of the fight. Cotto’s body assault didn’t hurt Pac because he saw almost everything coming, that’s why he was prepared for it, that’s why it didn’t hurt him. Remember the adage; it’s the punch that you don’t see that hurts you. When he fought Singurat, he connected a body punch that he didn’t see, that’s why he was KO’d. Needless to say, Pac wasn’t as physically imposing and fit as he was back then as he is now. With the Torrecampo fight, if you slow the video down, he wasn’t really knocked out with a body punch, but rather a low blow. Watch it again, it was definitely a low blow but the guy didn’t bitch and complain.

Pac is machine. Nobody needs to doubt his endurance in the ring because that is already on full display in training. If you claim that you’ve seen Pac’s previous fights, then you should know that already, that he has tremendous stamina. And you can’t associate steroids with stamina, because steroids do not improve endurance, it increases strength, that’s a given, but not endurance. And if you claim that he’s been on steroids, it would have a detrimental and counterproductive effect to his endurance, because steroid use can cause cardiomyopathy and coronary artery disease. And that’s the reason why the governator had undergone bypass surgery.

You claim that his head is big, dude look at his picture on time magazine, asian version, it still is the same size. Sometimes his head looks bigger when he grows out his hair, just like in the fight. His hair fans out when it grows (the guy is asian for Christ sake) thus creating that illusional big head. His head looks smaller when his hair is trimmed.

Steroids is not the panacea to aging and wear down. You think that by using steroids it will keep you fresh and preclude you from breaking down? That’s counter-intertuitive my friend. Steroids can bring so much health problems as much as long term cigarette smoking and/or long term ethanol binging. Not only the guy is a gifted athlete, he’s mentally tough and disciplined as well, qualities that set him apart from most other athletes. When you put those three qualities together, you are almost guaranteed that he will be in tip top shape for every bout that he fights in. I hope Ariza measures his physical capacity (resting heart rate, mixed venous oxygenation, vital lung capacity, all that shit) and find out how of a physical specimen he really is.

Top Rank being tight lip doesn’t mean that they are succumbing to the allegation. Manny actually talked about suing Mayweather’s ass. I don’t know where they stand on that issue at this point but I hope he sues Mayweather’s ass.

So in this point, you are deriving that manny’s alleged used of steroid is from the fact that he is a Filipino and that Filipinos are infamous for corruption and cheating? I know you’re trying to strengthen your argument but this one is just fucked up! You just took it a little to far. I am not Filipino (Japanese) and Im upset, much more for the common Filipino. What has the manila airport the only airport charging terminal fee to do with him using steroids? Isn’t that a little too farfetched. You’re basically saying that all Filipinos are cheaters because that’s how they are, that’s what you’re basically implying, on this paragraph. You’re generalizing the whole nation. The Philippine government may be known for corruption but that doesn’t mean that all Filipinos are cheaters. Keep that in mind.

Have you heard of the terms improving? Getting better? True, he is defining conventional wisdom about boxing but it is unjustified to compare McGuire and Bonds with Manny’s situation. Manny has the foundation already as far as physical aspect is concern but he was just rough around the edges. He has become a complete boxer now that’s why he’s on top of his game. And just to remind you in case you forgot, he wasn’t a flyweight when he fought Miguel Cotto, he weighed in at 144 lbs, so what does that make him? So he’s more capable of knocking him out. Dude, it is clear that you’re a pac hater and you’re coming with all the ammunition that you can have steer people’s mind. Pacquiao is that fucking good! This proves two things when you believe that Pac cant be that good without steroids: You just admitted that he’s that good and that you are one envious individual .

Pacroid,

LOL, well… regarding that comment about the Manila Airport being the “only” airport that charges terminal fees? Well… it’s a long story, but the short version of it is, foreign investors built the new airport terminal (that’s the one that charges the terminal fee) and the Philippine government, poor as they are, haven’t fully paid back the loans on those investments. Those terminal fees were supposed to help with the cost of being able to pay back that investment. A lot of Philippine infrastracture is owned by foreign investors actually and economic woes notwithstanding, the Filipino people are oftentimes burdened by a lot of these infrastracture contracts by being forced to shoulder major parts of the cost to be able to pay them back.

Saying you’ve been to the Philippines and can actually speak Tagalog and Cebuano does not justify your comment about Filipinos. Truth is, you’ve only been to a certain microcosm of the country and you go and decide that’s enough sample size for your conclusions? Tsk. Your selective ignorance is both appalling and pitiful.

Just like Margarito. This is what the Magic Man is talking about. There are some boxers with class and than there are just dirt bags.

Life is hard here in the Philippines.
If you’re not from a rich family, you’ll have to be strong, determined and relentless from childhood in order to get ahead and succeed. That’s how life trained Manny. With that kind of training (+ some good coaching/discipline from Roach), Manny is where he is now.

Many Filipinos show the same relentless, determined spirit on a daily basis. In our country..it’s always tough, so the tough just gets tougher, even without steroids.

Manny is definitely using roids that are undetectable. That’s why he trains in the Phillipines. He cycles off of the roids before he returns stateside. That’s why his tests are all clean. Say what you want about Mayweather, Sr., but he is been around boxing for 40 years. Cintron and Paulie are world class fighters. These people know a cheat when they see one. Stop thinking with your heart people. Think with your head. There is no legitimate way that a former 106 pounder can go all the way to welterweight and manhandle a welterweight like he is fighting a child. Be reasonable people. Think. You know boxers when they get beat so many times they tend to lose their sanity and sometimes dellusional, and Mayweather Sr. don’t even have a solid family foundation and even don’t get-along with his own son. He would try to show a little love to Jr., and occasional kiss butt to make up with lost quality time but Jr. is so damaged that can no longer be fixed. @ Pacroid,

I still think Pancho Villa is the greatest filipino boxer of all time considering the number of bouts (and wins) he had fought before he passed away at the age 23. Regarding your comparison of Donaire, the flyweight champion, being able to move up to Pacquiao’s current division, Doniare probably wont be able to, with or without steroids. Donaire naturally has a slender physique compared to Pacquiao—you’re in essence comparing somewhat like Richard Hamilton’s physique to Kobe Bryant’s. If Pacquiao had the luxury of migrating to the US at an earlier age, same age as when Donaire came here at the age of 9, he would have probably benefited from the country’s affluent diet and started at a higher division than what he started back in the Philippines. Pacquiao has a frame to fill up, not to mention, the naturally tree trunk calves that he already has, so it’s no surprise that he went up to this division. Of important note, the weight ascension didn’t occur overnight; it occurred over a span of 8 years. When he was fighting Morales at the super featherweight division, his weight at fight night ranged between 140-144 lbs already, even though their weigh in limit was 130 lbs. So it’s not like he gained 40 lbs in two years. He already was a few pounds short from welterweight range two years ago.

You mean Bruce Lee was on steroids ? Manny trains like Bruce Lee, with the mind over matter kind of thing.

The Pacman wears an amulet from a carabao, a Philippine water buffalo, a very strong animal. An old man, a faith healer gave it to him. He also eats the “balut” a duck egg with whole fetus boiled and eaten before the egg hatches. He also eats a lot of rice and raw fish marinated in hot vinegar.

Let your steroids crap go guys. Watch him beat Yuri Forman at 154 lbs hahaha.

“I have seen almost every pacman fight from 112 pounds to now.

He is JUST JUICED UP.” Great analysis!!! MANNY IS A JUICED-UP ROID MONKEY!!!

I said it before Pac is a great fighter but there is no doubt he is on possibly 3 drugs-stimulant, HGH, and painkiller to become a super legendary fighter. Fighter Harada was a great japanese fighter who had trouble in winning a featherweight title after being both Flyweight champ and Bantomweigt. Same thing for Thai fighter Galaxy. Galaxy was Muaythai expert and had great KO power but NEVER carried that to higher weights.

THe boxing world dosent do random tests as cycling and track and field. In addition, they DONT even check the blood, only urine. HGH-human growth hormone cant be found in urine. That dosent count designer drugs that cant be traced. The only way they are found is checking for abnormalities in WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, abnormally high Testesterone levels. Boxing is out there to make millions they dont care if they cheat.

People keep saying Pac is a great christian man, if a man cheats on a loyal wife and mother to his kids, why wouldnt he cheat in a sport to make millions? His character is in question.

Malignaggi made a few good points. He also did a radio interview at fighthype, he said the man eats 8000 calroies a day in order to eliminate that you would need to overtrain and have nothing left for the fight, unless the drugs help him recover.

I am sure like the baseball scandal the whole world will know the truth sooner or later.

I supported Paulie vs his result with Juan “baby bull” Diaz as he had genuine reasons. However, Paulie is also a caught in his world of “loving me . . recognize me”. Given that he survive Cotto for 12 rounds was one of his defining moments (i.e. Cotto was an awesome boxer, elite welterweight, good ring smarts) which is why Paulie was predicting that Cotto was too much for Pac Man as he was INDIRECTLY trying to prop up himself as a good fighter.

However, the public sees the smoke screen Paulie. All your barking even in the disguise of smart talk insinuation does not hold water. You should follow Manny Pac – his success is really the result of hardwork, pushing himself to excellence (trains hours and hours per day), get a good coach/trainer to hone your strategy, improve your mental focus (not that you throw unsupported slander . . rather focus on your fights!), etc.

Steriods – DOES NOT MAKE YOU SUPERHUMAN, like the media would have you believe. Yes it does help, to an extent (ie. stronger, bulkier), but it does not make someone who has no talent become an amazing athlete. If an athlete DOES NOT have the talent or ability, steroids are NOT a wonder drug that is going to give them that talent or ability. Plus, steriods does not improve your mental/tactical state, does not improve your boxing technique (in and out movements, unique boxing angles), does not improve your feet/hands coordination (which Manny has been known for since his lower weight battles) . .

So Paulie, Cintron . . don’t try to prop up your image with classless accusations (unless there has been evidence to the contrary). It does not look good on you as reputable boxers . . but, rather whiners and jealous pricks.

You bring up some good points. I mean there are many great Korean,Japanese, THai, and other Pinoy fighters at the lower weight classes and none of these flyweights have made a mark in the Lightweight division LET ALONE the Welter.

These asian figthers count old school fighters as Fighting Harada and KHasdoi(Sp?) Galaxy. These were badass MF’s with martial arts skills and power. But they couldnt go too high in weights.

Nowadays, you have Chris John and Pongsaklek Wonjongkam are great current asian fighters and have not made a mark in more than 2 divisions let alone 7.

Even the tall celestino Caballero who fights at 122 is nearly 6 feet tall and he hasent moved up to lightweight let alone welter.

Dont you think all these fighters would move up in weight if it was so easy? They will make millions more.

One of the stupid comments people keep saying is manny natural weight is in 140’s. Difference betweem walking and fighting weight. COtto and CLottey are naturally 170 does than mean they can fight middleweights LET ALONE a nsturaal Light heavyweight? Of Course not.
