Floyd Maywaeather Jr. gives an exclusive radio interview to DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45 sirius satellite radio today Jan. 30. Floyd Mayweather calls in to talk about his recently announced May 1st fight with Sugar Shane Mosley.
During the interview Mayweather talks about the upcoming Superbowl and All-Star games, boxing and performance enhancing drugs, about the Haitian tragedy and why he is giving back to Haiti, How to get tickets for the HBO Mayweather vs. Mosley super fight, and if he was scared to fight Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and avoiding him.

For Mayweather’s level Mosley is best opponent he could ever fought. Mosley is not really a great fighter at the age of 38. Maybe 10 years ago he’s really good. Manny did not gain 17 lbs in just 18 months! He always had to lose weight going into the weigh-in date. The very reason he got knocked out in his fight with a Thai boxer is that he had to shed off a lot of weight, and that is the most important reason why he had to move up in weight, i.e., to lighten the physical burden of reducing weight. Of course, there is also bigger money in the higher weight classes. As he went went up in weight class, he still had to reduce weight to some extent. So, it is absurd for anyone to say that Manny gained 17 lbs in just 18 months. Floyd, Jr and several other fighters went up weight classes and gained more weight faster than Manny did. The only difference is that Manny excelled, not because of any banned drugs, but his sheer discipline and determination, and resolve to improve his skills (of course there is his great strategist Freddie Roach, and his plyometrics expert Ariza) in his next fight. Without Roach and Ariza, Manny’s skills, strength and stamina will not be where they are today. The Pacquiao Team therefore gets the credit, not any banned drugs that Mayweather and his cohorts accuse him of due to fear and strategy to avoid clashing with Manny in the ring.
Better educate yourself by reading several articles that speak of recorded facts comparing the weight increases of several great fighters as they went up in weight classes. You will see that Manny’s weight gain per unit of time pales in comparison with the others, including Mayweather, Jr.

Pacquiao already walks around @ 150+ lbs. He does not have to struggle to make weight. It’s not like he gained poundage to make 147 out of nowhere, the weights always been there.

By cleaning up the sports I think what Floyd meant was the sports of Dancing with the stars-it is indeed a nice way to lose weight with one’s movement sweeping the floor, practically cleaning the floor.
I have to admit I was rather upset to see that Pacquiao and Mayweather are not going to fight, however; what is more upsetting is that pacquiao is fighting Clottey! Why is this fight happening? didnt Cotto beat Clottey? Didn’t pacquaio beat Cotto? My hat goes off to mayweather at least he was man enough to take a real fight.
