Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions returns to HBO Latino with their newest star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez of Mexico headlining a card live from Veracruz, Mexico against the tough boxing veteran and former 140 pound title holder Lovemore N’Dou of Australia (48-11-2, 31 KOs).
HBO Latino is the Spanish language channel for the premium network where shows, movies, and live events like boxing are all broadcast in Spanish for the Latino viewers.
De La Hoya believes the 20-year-old undefeated Alvarez (34-0-1, 26 KOs) will be the next superstar in boxing and win his first world championship title in the year 2011.
HBO boxing analyst Larry Merchant even mentioned Canelo Alvarez as a possible super fight opponent for Manny Pacquiao by the end of 2011.
