Watch The Series Premiere Of “Lights Out” Tonight On FX

January 11, 2011 By NB News Leave a Comment

Tonight Jan. 11 on FX is the series premiere of a brand new TV show “Lights Out”.

Lights Out revolves around a retired former heavyweight boxing champion Patrick “Lights” Leary (Holt McCallany) struggling to find his identity while finding ways to support his wife Theresa (Catherine McCormack) and their 3 daughters since being retired from the sport of boxing for 5 years. Leary is diagnosed with pugilistic dementia — a neurological disorder that affects motor skills and causes memory loss mainly in boxers who’ve taken too many punches to the head during their boxing careers. To help with his financial problems and to take care of his family, Leary has to make the decision whether to take a job as a debt collector or get back into the boxing ring for one last shot at the title even if it means permanent damage to his health. Leary’s younger brother/manager Johnny (Pablo Schreiber) wants him to make a comeback.
