Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez will defend his WBO featherweight championship on Saturday night against Mexican challenger Orlando Salido at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
Orlando Salido last fought Cuban featherweight champion and Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa and lost a decision to Gamboa, the question now is can Juan Ma one up his rival Gamboa by stopping Salido?
Should Juan Manuel Lopez get past Salido, the fight that everyone is looking forward to is a unification fight between him and fellow undefeated featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa later in the year.
Also televised on the Showtime broadcast will be a super featherweight co-feature Luis Cruz vs. Martin Honorio before the Lopez vs. Salido main event.
