Showtime Championship Boxing presents Cornelius Bundrage vs. Cory Spinks, Gary Russell Jr. vs. Christopher Perez, and Erislandy Lara vs. Freddy Hernandez triple header live on June 30th from the Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, California.
The main event for the Showtime three fight televised card is a rematch between current IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius “K9” Bundrage and former world champion Cory “Next Generation” Spinks, when the two fought the first time, Bundrage beat Spinks by TKO in the 5th round, taking the IBF belt from Spinks. The rematch will give Spinks a chance to do what he does best, which is box and move, and try to avoid getting hit with one of Bundrage’s power punches, if Spinks can do this successfully for 12 rounds he should get his title back. For Bundrage he has to win this fight to convince people it wasn’t a fluke win over an unfocused Spinks.
Also featured on the telecast are former US Olympian Gary Russell Jr. and decorated Cuban Amateur boxer Erislandy Lara.
