The Ultimate Fighting Championship heads to the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Friday, October 5, 2012 with UFC on FX: Travis “Hapa” Browne vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
The main event on FX will feature the undefeated heavyweight contender Travis “Hapa” Browne against the Brazilian Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in a five round non title bout. Silva is a huge step up in competition for Browne, one of Silva’s most memorable wins was when he beat the legendary PRIDE champion Fedor Emelianenko by TKO in Strikeforce, Silva also has a decision win over former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. A good showing against Silva will give Browne a possible title shot in the future.
Also on the four fight main card is the return of Jay Hieron to the UFC, Hieron has won 11 of his last 12 bouts and his opponent will be Jake Ellenberger.
Before the main card on FX, the UFC will televise a six fight preliminary undercard on Fuel TV, featuring exciting MMA bouts.
