Mayweather hasn’t fought Pacquiao because he doesn’t want to hurt him

I genuinely believe that the main reason Floyd Mayweather Jr. never made the fight with Manny Pacquiao is that he didn’t want to hurt him. All of the drug testing and money issues were just a smoke screen.

Mayweather knew he would have an easy time with Pacquiao all along, even before they were pitted against each other as rivals in the welterweight division, Floyd admit he was a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao, and was even seen cheering for the Pacman when he fought Erik Morales a second time back in 2005. If the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao bout happened earlier than Manny wouldn’t have made the type of money he did or even be talked about in the mainstream. Floyd is correct when he said Manny’s name is linked to his name, people only knew of Pacquiao because the media tried to pit him against Mayweather. Floyd allowed Manny to use his name to earn money, this shows the true generosity of Floyd, people don’t recognize the type of giving person he is and he allowed Pacquiao’s team to piggy back off his name and fame. Anytime Floyd acknowledges Manny it helps Manny stay relevant.

Floyd’s demeanor regarding the devastating and humiliating KO loss suffered by Pacquiao, he has been nothing but respectful. One would think that since Floyd used to trash talk Pacquiao, he would have loved every minute of the Filipino’s embarrassing demise. But Floyd doesn’t seem like the type to kick a man when he is down, he even said that he hoped the Pacman bounces back and can take care of business with Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez first before he would consider fighting him.

You have to understand that Floyd Mayweather is not one to fight a man who is already washed up, he wants to fight a guy who is coming off wins and not someone who is easy pickings. True boxing fans knew Pacquiao would be an easy fight for Floyd, but it took Juan Manuel Marquez to knock him out to wake up the casual fans. Floyd might consider fighting Pacquiao later on out of pity and allow Manny to retire with a huge paycheck, I think he will go easy on Manny if they fight and just beat him by points. People need to start thinking deeper about this situation and not get so emotional, if you look deeper you can see that Floyd is not a bad person, if he was, he would have been posting pictures of Manny after his KO and laugh at it and make videos clowning on him, but Floyd is a true sportsman and he knows as a fellow fighter that what happened to Pacquiao could happen to any fighter including himself.
