The Ultimate Fighting Championship just commemorated the organizations 20th anniversary since it’s inception, with UFC 167 Georges St-Pierre vs Johny Hendricks accompanied by an all star undercard. The event was held on November 16, 2013 and lived up to the action packed expectations. Rising UFC welterweight contender and former Strikeforce star Tyron Woodley made a statement by knocking out UFC veteran Josh Koscheck in the first round. Underdog Robbie Lawler pulled off the upset by beating the Canadian star Rory MacDonald by decision moving him closer to a title shot. Chael Sonnen was stopped by his friend and colleague, former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans in the first round.
In the main event of the evening long reigning UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre faced his toughest challenge yet when he fought American wrestler/boxer Johny Hendricks. The fight was hard fought and close, GSP left with his title, but many of the fans who watched the fight believed Hendricks pulled it off and won the decision.
