Saturday nights HBO Boxing After Dark double header featured the super middleweight world championship rematch between two British stars, Carl Froch and George Groves, and a featherweight title showdown between Filipino American superstar Nonito Donaire and South African champion Simpiwe Vetyeka.
Froch vs. Groves 2 is considered the hottest fight in British boxing history, selling out over 80 thousand seats at the famed Wembley stadium in London, England it shows that boxing is still thriving in the United Kingdom.
Nonito Donaire is considered one of the hardest punching little men in the sport, he is on a road back from defeat after losing his 122 pound titles to Cuban Olympic Gold Medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux last year. He moved up to featherweight to challenge the tough South African champion Simpiwe Vetyeka who is coming off a huge upset win over previously unbeaten long reigning Indonesian champion Chris John.
