The Ultimate Fighting Championship will head back to the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on July 5th for a championship double header UFC 175 pay-per-view card featuring middleweight championship Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida, and Women’s Bantamweight championship Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis. UFC 175 will be live streamed on YouTube (www.youtube.com/ufc).
Chris Weidman is the current middleweight champion and won the title by defeating the long reigning champion Anderson Silva by stoppage. He rematched Silva and broke his leg causing the fight to be stopped due to injury. He will take on Silva’s stablemate and friend Lyoto Machida on Saturday night.
Machida is a former light heavyweight champion and known for his elusive karate style striking. He believes his style will cause trouble for Weidman and he will bring the belt back to Brazil.
Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is undefeated and has stopped every single one of her opponents mainly by armbar submissions. She is the UFC’s biggest star according to Dana White the president of the organization. Her opponent is Alexis Davis a Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter coming off of a five fight winning streak.
