Anderson Silva retiring to Box against Roy Jones Jr?

October 21, 2008 By NB News Leave a Comment

Good interview from Intheguard.tv Anderson Talks about his Retirement and his love for boxing and says a fight with Roy Jones Jr will happen.

New Anderson Silva Interview

I have my doubts about this because Roy Jones Jr has an upcoming mega bout with the undefeated Welshman Joe Calzaghe in November and if Roy Jones Jr beats Calzaghe a big bout against Bernard Hopkins would be a dream retirement fight for both guys, they would earn the most money they ever have in that fight. The only way I see an Anderson Silva vs Jones Jr fight happening is if Roy Jones Jr loses to Calzaghe by Decision or Roy Jones Jr continues his spite for B-Hop and refuses to fight him if he beats Calzaghe. Hopkins has been chasing Roy Jones Jr for many years this is a rematch 15 years in the making. Roy Jones Jr has openly stated before that he would love to Box Anderson Silva and believes the event would be huge but claims UFC Dana White is the one who denied Anderson Silva of making the fight happen.
