Canadian Ross earns TKO win over Ehikhamenor in ‘The Contender’ final

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — Canadian Troy Ross earned a fourth-round technical knockout over Nigerian Ehinomen (Hino) Ehikhamenor on Wednesday night in the final of “The Contender,” a boxing-based reality TV show.

The 33-year-old cruiserweight from Toronto caught Ehikhamenor with a short left jab to the head, then went to the body before catching Ehikhamenor with another left-hand shot to the head. That prompted the referee to stop the bout at about the two-minute mark of the round.

“After every round I kept getting stronger,” Ross said after the bout. “I knew there was no way I was going to leave the ring a loser.”…Full Story
