(January 6th) Following about nine hours of mediation federal Judge Daniel Weinstein could not bring the two parties any closer to agreement for the March 13 Mega fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather.

The problems in the negotiations of this fight began when Mayweather requested Olympic style drug testing to be randomly conducted during training, before and after the bout. Negotiations then took a hard turn when Pacquiao filed a lawsuit alleging that Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather, Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions executives Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer made false and defamatory statements accusing him of taking performance enhancing drugs.

This action unprecedented has many wondering is this just a distraction, avoidance ploy by Mayweather or just another hype move for a fight that needs absolutely no hype what so ever. After todays conference Judge Weinstein placed a gag order on all the proceedings leaving it all quite on the Pacquiao / Mayweather front.

This fight makes sense. The dollars make sense the only thing not making sense is all the fuss. If true, Pacquiao owes nobody any special drug tests on Mayweathers word or anyone else’s. If the mediation / negotiations are not reasonably completed soon Pacquiao should move on, it’s just another ruse, ask Marquez.
