January 24, 2010 By NB News

The upcoming boxing match between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey titled “The Event” sold around 20,000 tickets on the first day of sale according to ESPN’s Dan Rafael.

The fight will take place on March 13th and are fairly priced starting from the affordable $50 seats to the most expensive seats being $700. The tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com.

Jerry Jones and Bob Arum have set the HBO PPV event up for an audience of around 40,000-50,000. If tickets sales continue to grow they can expand the seating, the Dallas Cowboys stadium can seat 100,000 attendance if needed.

Bob Arum also announced that he will be donating a portion of all Top Rank Promoted boxing events ticket sales for the entire year of 2010 to the Clinton-Bush Haiti earthquake relief  fund.
