Brian Kenny joined by his in studio guest ESPN head boxing writer, Dan Rafael, starts off the segment with his interview of Pacquiao coach Freddie Roach on the steroid blood testing issue and Pacquiao’s upcoming match with Joshua Clottey and the possibility of Mayweather Jr. vs. Pacquiao down the line.
During the season premiere of ESPN2 Friday Night Fights “Karmazin vs. Miranda”, boxing analyst and trainer Teddy Atlas gave his opinion on the drug testing conflict between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao that prevented the fight from pushing forward.
Atlas also reveals a shocking detail that a source close to the situation told him that Team Pacquiao members supposedly sent emails to Team Mayweather asking what the penalty would be if Pacquiao tested positive and if they could withhold a positive test from public for the betterment of boxing (which was first uncovered by Tim Smith of NY Daily News)
