Mexican – American Heavyweight contender Cris “The Nightmare” Arreola (28-1, 25 KOs) has agreed to face former cruiserweight champion from Poland Tomasz Adamek (40-1, 27 KOs) in a heavyweight non title fight to be televised on HBO B.A.D (Boxing After Dark).
Arreola’s only loss came in September 2009 at the hands of current WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. Adamek’s lone loss came from undefeated champion Chad Dawson, that fight took place at the 175 lb light heavyweight division, Adamek has since then moved up to cruiserweight and is now fighting at heavyweight.
A press conference to officially announce the “Arreola vs. Adamek” fight has been set for Friday, February 19, 2010.
The event is titled “Ring of Fire” and will take place at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on April 24, 2010 and televised live on HBO.
