Former heavyweight boxing champion, James “Light’s Out’ Toney, officially signed a deal with UFC. The report came from MMAfighting.com and Fiveouncesofpain.com, Dana White and James Toney agreed to a multi-fight contract, with a UFC debut date yet to be announced.

Many crossover fans who enjoy both Boxing and MMA believe Toney’s age, and style of boxing is horrible for MMA, he has slow feet and stands in the pocket to shoulder roll punches, this will leave him upon for take downs and leg kicks.

The most lucrative match up’s the UFC can make for James Toney, would be against Chuck Liddell, Kimbo Slice, or Anderson Silva at 205 or a catchweight.

Liddell, Silva and Kimbo would be willing to stand and trade with the 41-year old past his prime boxer.

Previously, Anderson Silva, showed interest in a boxing match with ring legend Roy Jones Jr., but a match up against James Toney in the UFC would be just as good for Silva.
