The 47-year-old former Heavyweight boxing champion, Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield, comes back to the ring against South African Frans Botha on April 10, 2010 at the Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Holyfield best known for his trilogy with Riddick Bowe and his wins over Mike Tyson feels he has what it takes to be competitive in the current heavyweight division. Evander fought at a time when the heavyweights still had depth and notable American heavyweights. Boxing with a weak heavyweight division is now being carried by welterweights Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. The heavyweight division has no significant American contender or champion of note, Holyfield wants to win the title one more time and bring the title back to America, first he has to get past Frans Botha on Saturday, April 10.
