Floyd Mayweather outpoints a tired, old Shane Mosley, Pacquiao would have destroyed Mosley

I wasn’t overly impressed with Floyd Mayweather’s performance against Shane Mosley, I can’t say it wasn’t a great performance either, but what I can say is Mayweather doesn’t have a killer instinct.

People keep getting amazed by Floyd Mayweather Jr. after he outpoints guys who are shells of their former selves. If you fight a guy who is gassing out by the third round and is nearing 40-years of age and can’t take him out or at least try to, you are not a complete fighter. A complete fighter will seize the opportunity to take out a fighter when it presents itself.

I understand there are some fighters who lack power like Paulie Malignaggi, but at least guys like Paulie Malignaggi will throw more punches than what Floyd Mayweather threw last night against a gassed and tired Shane Mosley.

Shane Mosley had a punchers chance and showed that you can hurt Mayweather in the early rounds, but like Zab Judah if you gas out in the mid to later rounds, Mayweather will pick you apart.

If you put an out of breath Shane Mosley in the ring with Manny Pacquiao, Manny would have feasted on Shane and put him out of his misery within the sixth round. Pacquiao doesn’t mess around, he comes to fight and throws down like you stole something from him. Pacman is the Lion and you are his prey.

Manny Pacquiao is still the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the world today, Floyd’s win over Mosley doesn’t allow him to surpass Manny Pacquiao in the ranks. I am in strong disagreement with the Floyd fan boys that Floyd would have easy work with the Filipino typhoon known as the Pacman, Manny Pacquiao.

You must take a few things into consideration; Mayweather fears Pacquiao, why else demand Olympic style drug testing for the first time against Manny Pacquiao, it’s because you see that man as a threat, an unbelievably talented threat. Pacquiao can take a punch and it makes him fight harder when he gets hurt, unlike Mosley, Pacquiao throws many more punches and he even loves to get hit. This is the Mayweather’s biggest concern, what if Pacquiao doesn’t fear Floyd’s punches and keeps coming forward with power combos, we saw Mosley wobble Mayweather with a right hand, imagine if Pacquiao wobbled Mayweather, the Tasmanian devil would have went ballistic on Floyd.

The biggest differences between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley are; Shane Mosley was past his prime and Manny’s in his prime. Mosley had to cut a lot of weight to make 147 and Manny won’t have to. Shane Mosley doesn’t throw as much as Manny Pacquiao. Mosley doesn’t have the gas tank that Manny Pacquiao has. Pacquiao is a southpaw that would give Mayweather problems and Manny doesn’t give a F#*K if he get’s knocked out he will die trying.

If you Floyd fans are thinking that Mayweather Jr. would wipe the floor with Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd isn’t scared, then tell Floyd Mayweather Jr. to put his money where his mouth is and drop that ridiculous USADA blood testing demands and give the people the fight they want to see.

I am an avid fan of boxing and video games. My first fight of memory was watching Prince Naseem Hamed destroy Kevin Kelly. I enjoy all aspects of the sport. My favorite current boxer is Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. My favorite boxing match is Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo 1. I love watching boxing on Pay-Per-View more than being there live because you can really enjoy and watch the action from the best view.
