Manny Pacquiao is no Joke and the Mayweather family knows it

“Cowards die many times before their deaths, The valiant never taste of death but once.” – Julius Caesar (II, ii, 32-37)

Muhammad Ali would call himself the greatest of all time. Ali would talk the most trash and he would back it up by fighting the best, even if it meant going overseas to face them. Ali never backed down from a challenge and he only wanted to fight the biggest and baddest heavyweights in the world. Ali did this because that’s what real fighters do, they want to prove themselves against the best in the world and to be called the baddest man in your division you must fight the baddest men in your division.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. says he is better than Muhammad Ali because he has never lost a fight while Muhammad Ali has several losses on his record. Mayweather talks a lot of trash but instead of demanding the scariest and baddest guys to fight he hand picks his opponents at the right time. With Floyd everything is about money, and preserving his undefeated record. He thinks if he calls himself the greatest then he will be considered the greatest, maybe in his own mind. Ali proclaimed he was the greatest but the difference is Ali would actually show people he was “NO JOKE” and fight the fights the fans wanted to see to prove how great he is. Floyd Mayweather openly admits that he doesn’t care about legacy and only cares about money.

Manny Pacquiao is the peoples champion. He gives the people the fights they want to see and how they want to see it. Fights that are filled with drama and excitement, even when he fights a guy like Joshua Clottey who covered up all fight, Manny Pacquiao never backed down and kept throwing punches with the ferocity of a Tasmanian devil. Pacquiao is cut from a different cloth than Floyd Mayweather Jr.. Floyd is a defensive genius but unlike his gambling nature outside the ring he is scared to take chances inside the ring and plays it safe. Pacquiao takes chances inside and outside the ring, he doesn’t like to leave the fights to the judges and isn’t content if he doesn’t win by a knockout.

You have different mindsets here; Floyd Mayweather the cautious bragger, Manny Pacquiao the humble warrior, and no matter how much the Mayweather clan considers Manny Pacquiao a joke, the real court jester is the Mayweather family for their ridiculous accusations of Pacquiao taking steroids and drugs that will make him bulletproof in the ring.

Deep down the Mayweather’s know Manny Pacquiao isn’t a joke and they know how great of a fighter he is but they won’t admit to it, even though, they know it in their minds and hearts. That is why they throw constant PED accusations at Pacquiao because he is doing something so extraordinary and amazing that they can’t believe it’s possible. When they say Manny is on steroids it’s almost like flattery and shows how impressed they really are with his accomplishments. Manny Pacquiao already agreed to the drug tests so he won’t be on those magical supplements the Mayweathers claim he’s on.

So, if they really believe that Floyd Mayweather Jr. can beat Pacquiao’s butt then sign the contract already and prove to the world you can beat him.  Boxing fans respect people who fight with heart and give it all they got win or lose, if Floyd Mayweather fights Manny Pacquiao in sensational fashion he will gain the respect of many boxing fans win or lose.

I am an avid fan of boxing and video games. My first fight of memory was watching Prince Naseem Hamed destroy Kevin Kelly. I enjoy all aspects of the sport. My favorite current boxer is Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. My favorite boxing match is Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo 1. I love watching boxing on Pay-Per-View more than being there live because you can really enjoy and watch the action from the best view.
