Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather may never happen as been reported before

By Superstar Billy Graham

The Superstar has made this statement before due to an article written on January 6th, 2010 by Scoop Malinowski. entitled “Forget Mediation, Fraud Will Duck Pacquiao”. This article is appearing to be more accurate as the deadline of the proposed time-line between Top Rank and Floyd Mayweather Jr. approaches. Adding more doubt to the fight from happening, Floyd Mayweather Jr’s informal announcement made on early June 2010, announcing he will retire from boxing and “take a couple years off.” Citing his reason to focus on his non-profit organization The Floyd Mayweather Jr Foundation and his boxing gym. It is an admirable approach to retire from boxing, but Floyd Mayweather Jr should take the fight with Manny Pacquiao, because the money he will pocket from this fight will secure an even better financial stability toward his foundation and boxing gym. But going back to the article written by Scoop Malinowski, it is beginning to ring truth Floyd Mayweather Jr has no intentions taking on Manny Pacquiao.

A paragraph from this article made a clear point the reason why this fight will not happen possibly ever. George Peterson and Al Haymon met in New York to discuss and promote the fight between Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams. Apparently something was said in their discussion that was not about the fight between Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams. Soon afterward,  Scoop had a one on one interview with George Peterson and they were discussing about the current state of boxing. Of course the interview turned to the mega fight between Floyd Jr and Manny Pacquiao and Scoop wanted to get George Peterson’s take on the fight. From what George Peterson said to Scoop set off the biggest alarm in boxing.

“I believe George Peterson, a colleague of Al Haymon by way of managing Paul Williams, knew of the secret plan by this fraud to duck Pacquiao as far back as December 2, well before the steroid excuse was first used. A disgusted George Peterson actually told me, point blank, this fight “is not gonna happen. Some fights aren’t meant to be made.” I believe George Peterson is disgusted at this cowardly fraud who is a shame on our great sport, and wanted the truth to be known.”

This article shoots down all possibility Manny Pacquiao prevented or walked away from this fight. The Olympic Style Drug Testing was another ploy used to make this fight not happen.  Many people were led to believe Manny was not willing to go beyond a 24 day blood test and it was the reason why this fight did not happen. Floyd Mayweather and his camp continued to say the fault lays solely on Manny Pacquiao unwilling to submit to blood testing. Which is totally untrue. We all know Manny Pacquiao was willing to participate in the blood testing program for anti doping but the timeline was the issue when both sides decided to walk away from the biggest fight in recent history. But on late January 2010, Freddie Roach was in New York City for a press conference. In his interview, Freddie Roach revealed they (the Manny Pacquiao camp) were willing to go to a 14 day cut off date and it was met with a refusal from Floyd Mayweather. However, after the first negotiation fell through, Floyd Jr quick went to the media saying he (Floyd Jr) wanted a 14 day cut off date and Manny Pacquiao refused. Basically beating the Pacquiao camp to the punch. It became we said and they said, creating a well calculated confusion. So this fight may never happen and boxing fans will be deprived seeing a fight that may go down as one of the biggest in history. We can all point the finger to one person who made this fight NOT HAPPEN and it is certainly not the newly elected congressman.
