Pacquiao Like Eminem

Today, Boxing experts and people who love boxing are arguing if Manny Pacquiao is the greatest boxer of all time after his destruction of the Tijuana Tornado Antonio Margarito. All had been said about Manny Pacquiao’s ability to wipe out his opponents with his dazzling and sleek way of punching his way in and out movement inside the ring. So what do you think? Is Pacquiao now deserves to be called the best boxer of all time after an unprecedented eight championship belts in eight weight class?

Well I will make my point by comparing Pacquiao with Eminem. Eminem for me is a lyrical genius and has his own rapping style. He can dazzle you with his courageous unparalleled lyrics with distinct voice and tone. He will say what is on his mind and not afraid what other people may say. He received many awards already because of that. People who love Eminem say that he is the greatest rapper of all time. Do you agree? Aside from he is the only white rapper who makes it big from a culture dominated by black rapper.

Pacquiao like Eminem is the only Asian fighter who makes it big to the sport of boxing with respect to other Asian champion boxer who came first, but Pacquiao is the only one with eight championship belts in eight weight classes that is first in boxing by the way. Pacquiao like Eminem have an amazing courage inside the ring, the courage to take on the best boxer available. Pacquiao like Eminem has a unique style, an unorthodox style with blazing speed and accuracy that makes his opponent stand in awe. Pacquiao like Eminem has received many accolades with his performances.

Ok let’s go deeper. Why do you think some people will not give them the distinct honor that they deserved especially those people who criticize them and can’t accept the achievement that they have? Is this something to do with norms? Because these two guys break the unconventional way of doing things, and because of that maybe some people can’t take it.

We know that most rapper is black and when Eminem make it big to the black zone some blacks can’t accept his rise. I remember a documentary where blacks had this discussion on whether Eminem is the greatest rapper and most them disagree right away without even giving the reasons of their basis.

Like rap music, boxing is also dominated before by black people. When Pacquiao rise to the unconventional way of boxing some people mostly black disagree right away about pacquiao being the greatest boxer of all time, why is that? The one reason I think is they are not yet ready to give it yet to another race especially Asian race when they know the Greatest Boxer of All Time belongs to Muhammad Ali who by the way is black. Don’t get me wrong I love Muhammad Ali he deserves that award because of his accomplishments inside and outside the ring. But we should know better, because records are broken all the time and we should accept that whatever race it is it should not matter as long as they deserve that accolades.

This is not all about what race and who first dominate, but who in the present moment deserves that distinct honor. I believe that certain award should not be fixed and can’t handle only by a specific person who did it first. All time great should be given to people who deserve it in whatever decades they’re in as long as they deserved it.
