The Ultimate Fighting Championship will hold its first event in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday Nov. 20 , 2010, but first the combatants scheduled to fight on the UFC 123 undercard need to make weight in order to compete Saturday night.
The UFC 123 weigh-ins will be held at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan at 1PM PT/4PM ET on Friday November 19. The weigh-in’s are free and open to the public so MMA fans get there ahead of time these things fill up fast.
The Main Event of UFC 123 will pair two former 205 pound champions Lyoto Machida and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in a fight that has the makings of a stand-up battle. Machida the quick and elusive Karate striker and Rampage the strong and powerful power puncher.
The Co-Main Event is a rubbermatch between long time rivals, Matt Hughes and B.J. Penn. Both fighters have one win over each other and bother have held the welterweight UFC title in the past, but on Saturday they will settle once and for all who is the better fighter.
