David Haye willing to take pay cut to land Wladimir Klitschko super-fight

December 23, 2010 By NB News 3 Comments

The WBA British heavyweight boxing champion, who last defeated Audley Harrison by stoppage, said he is willing to take a pay cut of £2million to make the heavyweight title unification bout with IBF, IBO, and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Haye told someone close to Sky sports that he agreed to all of Klitschko’s demands including a 50-50 split and allowing Wladimir choice of venue, the pay cut would be from Haye splitting his Sky PPV revenue with Klitschko, but hasn’t received a response back from their camp.

A Haye vs. Klitschko unification bout would be the most important heavyweight boxing match in a long time, and will be sure to garner both fighters a hefty payday should the fight be made.
