Never Argue With A Pacquiao Fan, It’s Like Talking To A Brick Wall

I made the biggest mistake in my last article on NowBoxing.com, when I addressed and put a biased Manny Pacquiao fanboy writer in his place, basically, saying he shouldn’t insinuate and insult a great Mexican warrior like Juan Manuel Marquez by making him out to be a coward and ducker. I should have realized you can never win a debate with someone who barely started following the sport of boxing, who has a closed mind and loves Pacquiao unconditionally.

I sent the article “Let’s Get This Straight, Manny Pacquiao Fears Marquez!” to many of my close friends and associates and they agreed that I put this so called boxing expert in his place.

But when the numbers are against you, you can never win. How can any one speak logic to a Filipino boxing fan who is infatuated with their countryman Manny Pacquiao? No matter what type of facts you bring they will never open their biased mind because Manny Pacquiao can do no wrong because he contains Filipino blood. For many of these Filipinos, Pacquiao is all these guys got going for them, so of course they will cling to him and come to his defense and leave comments on your article calling you a moron or a racist slur if you try to drop some boxing facts on them.

Even the non-Filipino Pacquiao fans will defend this man like he can do no wrong. I had a white American guy tell me to my face that I didn’t know sh#t about boxing, all because I said Floyd Mayweather Jr would outbox Manny Pacquiao easily and when that guy took off his jacket, I could see he was wearing a “PACMAN KNOWS” Nike shirt, so it made sense that this temperamental guy was a Pac fan. I actually felt nervous because I didn’t want to hurt this guy, he was drunk and looking ready to get physical with me, but I showed pity on him and decided to be the bigger man and walked away. I realized like any sane person that you have to think with sense it’s not worth it to go to jail for knocking out some ignorant and hostile Pacquiao fanboy. I should have used my better judgment and never addressed that biased writer in the first place because I gave him what he wanted… attention.

So as a word of advice to any boxing writer or blogger, try to avoid addressing a rabid Pacquiao fan, it’s a waste of time and not worth it because it’s like talking to a brick wall nothing goes through. They can’t handle the truth.

*Please refrain from leaving any Racist, Profane or Derogatory comments*
