Erik Morales Wants Maidana! Eat That Pacquiao Fans!

I recall a writer on Nowboxing.com with the name of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, disrespecting the great Juan Manuel Marquez fighting a Mexican legend like Erik Morales. This Manny Pacquiao hugging writer was defending his hero fighting old Shane Mosley by taking shots at Juan Manuel Marquez fighting Erik Morales.

Well it looks like Marquez and Morales aren’t going to fight, according to a report by Michael Rosenthal of Ring Magazine, Marquez decided to wait and pursue other options and knowing Marquez he won’t be taking any easy fights like Pacquiao’s been doing lately. Erik Morales told Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions that he wants the dangerous 140-pound puncher Marcos Maidana for the WBA light-welterweight title to make history as the first Mexican boxer to win 4 titles in 4 different weight classes.

What this shows is that Erik Morales has more guts than Manny Pacquiao. Morales doesn’t want cherry picked fights, he wants Marcos Maidana the most dangerous guy in the light-welterweight division because he truly believes he can beat him.

That is what a real warrior does — challenges himself against the best! I cannot say the same about Manny Pacquiao.

If Manny was a true warrior he wouldn’t be fighting Shane Mosley, he would be fighting a more credible opponent coming off a dominant performance like Andre Berto, Juan Manuel Marquez or Sergio Martinez.

Eat that Manny Pacquiao Fans! What can you say now about Pacman fighting an old Shane Mosley while a past prime Erik Morales wants a young deadly puncher like Marcos Maidana.
