GUARANTEED BLOCKBUSTER: PACQUIAO VS MOSLEY

No one knew of Joshua Clottey. He was a foreigner from Ghana and had maybe a handful of fans from his own country, say about 50 of them in the USA. HBO did not make a Clottey/Pacquiao 24/7 program to promote the fight. Both Clottey and Pacquiao are not from the USA. The promoters did very little to promote the fight in comparison to Mosley/Mayweather.

With all that going against the Clottey/Pacquiao fight, it still did 700K in PPV sales.

Comparing the Clottey/Pacquiao and the Mosley/Pacquiao fight, it’s a cinch that the fight will sell very well; a whole lot more than the 700K of the Clottey/Pacquiao fight.

The Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley fight will be heavily promoted. HBO has a subscriber reach of around 30,000,000; Showtime/CBS has about 110,000,000. The fight will also be advertised during the March Madness NCAA collegiate basketball playoffs. Showtime will also do a version of HBO’s promotional series, 24/7.

Sugar Shane Mosley is an American that has a lot bigger fan base than Joshua Clottey. From a fan scale of 1-10, Clottey is about a 2-3 and Mosley is about an 8, more than twice that of Clottey. Pacquiao of course is the cash cow of boxing, one of only two men to ever gross over 1 million PPV sales three straight years in a row. The other is Mike Tyson.

BAM! 16,000 TICKETS SOLD FOR PACQUIAO/MOSLEY IN THE FIRST 3 HOURS!

And that is without any input from Showtime/CBS.

Plus it’s the 5th of May weekend (Cinco De Mayo).

And it’s Manny Pacquiao, the most exciting and entertaining fighter on the planet.

IF AN OPPONENT LIKE THE UNKNOWN CLOTTEY CAN DO 700K PPV SALES WITHOUT MUCH PROMOTIONAL AND ADVERTISEMENTS, THINK WHAT A KNOWN OPPONENT LIKE MOSLEY AND THE BACKING OF SHOWTIME/CBS WILL DO.

DO THE MATH, BABY!

Pacquiao will once again separate himself from the pack. He will be the only fighter to ever gross over 1 million PPV FOUR YEARS IN A ROW! It’s just more Manny dust that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be eating again.

You want fries to go with that dust, Floyd?

This is what people pay to see. Ungodly speed, power, stamina, skills, and above all, NO FEAR!
