Beloved Filipino Icon, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, wrapped up his press tour promoting his May 7, 2011 Showtime pay-per-view fight with Sugar Shane Mosley, with a visit to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. to meet with United States Senator Harry Reid.
Pacquiao, who is a congressman in the Philippines, endorsed Sen. Reid before his reelection, and some say Pacquiao’s endorsement of the Senator helped get the Filipino American votes in Nevada to go in Reid’s favor.
The Nevada Senator Harry Reid gave high praise to the Filipino Congressman and 8 division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao during the meeting. Before the press conference, both men exchanged their country’s flags with one another.
