Saturday night March 12, live from the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, 2010 Fighter of the Year Sergio Martinez (46-2-2, 25 KOs) meets the undefeated Ukrainian Sergiy Dzinziruk (37-0, 23 KOs) for the vacant WBC Diamond Middleweight Belt on HBO World Championship Boxing.
Sergio Martinez won the middleweight title against Kelly Pavlik and successfully defended his championship belt against Paul Williams beating him by KO. After a stellar 2010, Martinez makes a strong case for pound-for-pound king over Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Dzinziruk is a WBO Jr. Middleweight champion and is moving up to 160 pounds to face Sergio Martinez for the vacant WBC Diamond Middleweight Championship.
Also featured on the HBO televised broadcast is a Middleweight bout between two Celtic warriors Irish boxer Andy Lee and Scotland’s Craig McEwan.
