MOSLEY’S WEAKNESS AGAINST SOUTHPAWS WILL BE HIS DOWNFALL AGAINST PACQUIAO

Shane Mosley has never been stopped in his entire boxing career. He seldom was even knocked down, he was only knocked down once in his pro career by Vernon Forrest. So what made me predict a stoppage for Manny Pacquiao in his upcoming fight with Shane Mosley? There is always a first time for everything. This will be the first time that Mosley will be fighting a current Fighter of the Decade, the first time to fight an 8 weight division world boxing champion, and the first time that he fights an opponent who is the only man to ever win 4 lineal boxing titles.

Manny Pacquiao is a lefty. Left handed individuals are significantly less common than right handed people. Left handed boxers aka Southpaws are rare, and very significantly more rare is a lefty of Pacquiao’s caliber. So how is Mosley going to find a lefty sparring partner to prepare for Pacquiao? There is no left handed boxer that is even remotely close to Manny Pacquiao. Mosley has problems against Southpaws. Let’s take a look at Shane Mosley’s prior fight against a lefty, Winky Wright.

Shane Mosley vs. Winky Wright Rematch part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

In the videos above, you will notice Shane’s inability to defend what I claimed as the two punches that Pacquiao will score on Mosley, the left jab/hook and the straight left through the middle. Winky was using those two punches to score consistently on Mosley. But Manny will have even more success with those punches against Mosley.

With Mosley being shorter, when Winky threw the straight left, sometimes Mosley was able to duck underneath it. Mosley is 5 foot 9 inches tall, Winky is 5’11’ and a half. Manny Pacquiao is 5’6” and a half; Mosley will not be able to duck underneath the straight left. Mosley does not fight in a crouch, he is erect in his stance.

Winky’s right jab was even more successful against Mosley than the straight left through the middle. But when he threw the right jab/hook, it was very effective; but it’s not a punch that Winky is very comfortable or has mastered and seldom threw it against Mosley. On the other hand, Pacquiao has mastered the lead left jab/hook.

Mosley just don’t have the ability to defend the straight left and lead right jab/hook punch, and Manny is a master at both of those punches. We can see it in the videos above that Mosley could not find any way to counter or solve those two punches.

I have a suggestion for Mosley. Hire Juan Manuel Marquez as a sparring partner and have him fight as a lefty. Juan will take it, he is in desperate need for money. Juan’s last fight drew about 10% of Pacquiao’s last fight. Let’s help out Juan Manuel Marquez and get Mosley to hire him as a hired help. I think that it’s a better move for Juan instead of constantly crying and begging Pacquiao for a retirement fund fight. Boxing is not a charity, Juan.

Begging and crying is no way to go through life, Juan. Have some dignity and stop crying all over the place. Stop saying that you beat Pacquiao when he put you down on your butt 4 times and got you sleep walking all over the ring. Do you want to end up a cripple, Juan? You might make money in a third fight against Pacquiao, but you probably won’t be able to enjoy it. Eating through a straw is not the best way to live your last years of your life, Juan.

Contrary to what Mosley has been saying, he will be denied in his upcoming fight against Pacquiao. And Juan Manuel Marquez will be denied of his attempted suicide against Manny Pacquiao. I don’t know about Mexico, but it is illegal to attempt suicide in this country, the USA.
