TIRED OF PHONY JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ’S DUCKING ACT

A while back, I wrote an article that showed Juan Manuel Marquez was ducking Manny Pacquiao. I pointed out that he intentionally sabotaged negotiations by insisting that he dictates the terms of the fight. He asked for a guaranteed $5 million dollars to fight Pacquiao, and he wanted to dictate at what weight the fight should take place too. One would think that Marquez was the marquee name in boxing and not Pacquiao by Marquez’s attitude and demands. What is behind Marquez’s act? In my honest and unbiased opinion, one of my theories is that it is possibly due to brain damage from being floored 4X by Pacquiao. And Pacquiao hit him so hard that he was sleep walking all over the ring and that caused him to think that he beat Pacquiao in their two previous fights. Today he is still clinging to the belief that he beat Pacquiao; evidently the after effects of being asleep during the two fights. Another theory is that he is avoiding Pacquiao like Roger Mayweather avoids brain cells.

In truth, Juan Manuel Marquez does not want to fight Manny Pacquaio at all. Marquez is just using Pacquiao’s name to market himself. Every time that Marquez has an upcoming fight, he goes into his phony act and starts to mention Pacquiao’s name to draw attention. The closer to the date of Marquez’s fights, the more he mentions Pacquiao’s name. Now he is using Pacquiao’s name again. But this time it is to negotiate a better contract with Golden Boy Promotions. But Marquez is once again dictating at what weight he wants to fight Pacquiao. He keeps recycling the same old thing by claiming that he beat Pacquiao. I got to tell you something, folks, Marquez is a recycler. He believes so much in recycling that he even recycles his bodily fluids by drinking his urine. Marquez is not only a recycler, he is also a cash cow in his own mind. And he believes that a cash cow like him should dictate the terms of a fight. After all, he did about 150K PPV buys in his last fight against Michael Katsidis; and that is cash cow numbers according to Marquez.

Let’s face it, without Marquez’s two bouts against Pacquiao, he would still be fighting in the same bar room and hotel conference room venue. Marquez’s last fight against Katsidis was staged in a half filled room. Hotel workers had to come in with a spray can of bug killer to quiet down the crickets and cucarachas from making all those noises that bugs make in a dark empty room. There were rumors about a fight between a cricket and a cucarachas that took place in the hotel’s kitchen during the Marquez/Katsidis fight, and half of the attending audience left to watch it; hence the reason for a low turn out count.

When Pacquiao finally fought at a comfortable weight at Jr. Welterweight, it showed when he knocked out Ricky Hatton with one punch. Pacquiao is not really a true Jr. Welterweight, and he is not a true Welterweight either. He does not weigh in at the Welterweight limit when he fights at that weight division. But he chooses to fight at  Welterweight because there are no strict limitations of food by fighting there. That makes Pacquiao happy and jovial. And a happy and jovial Pacquiao means everybody else is happy and jovial. It’s good to be King.

Manny is the King, Marquez thinks he is the King. But really, Marquez is only acting like a king to avoid Pacquiao. Since Marquez was gong to the canvas 4X by the real King, Manny Pacquiao, we’ll have to name the phony king, King Gong Marquez.

There is news that King Gong is being offered to fight Zab Judah by Golden Promotions. That fight is never going to happen. Zab Judah is not like a one dimensional Michael Katsidis, or a fried and done Juan Diaz, or the one foot in the grave Casamayor. Zab is a boxer, he would box the crap out of King Gong Marquez. Even the average boxer Chris John beat the crap out of King Gong. So forget about King Gong ever accepting to fight Zab Judah.

King Gong Marquez has seen what the current Pacquiao looks like. He knows Pacquiao is not the same fighter that he fought at 130 pounds. He also knew that Pacquiao was draining himself to remain fighting at 130; Freddie Roach has been saying that Pacquiao was struggling to make weight when he was fighting at 130 pounds. Pacquiao’s totally shredded physique at 126 pounds and at 130 pounds is the result of very hard dieting to make weight. Pacquiao and company has announced to the world that Manny will now only fight at 147 pounds. King Gong immediately went into his act and demanded that a possible 3rd fight should be at 143 pounds. Now do you see how Marquez sabotages any fight with Pacquiao?

King Gong the Recycler is once again recycling his old and tired act. If he accepts his King Gong name and markets it, maybe he can draw some fans to watch his fights without mentioning Manny Pacquiao’s name.
