Polish fighter Tomasz Adamek is climbing up the heavyweight ladder and will take on the last man to defeat Mike Tyson, Irish fighter Kevin McBride tonight (Saturday, April 9) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The bout will be a 12-round heavyweight non title fight, and will be broadcast live on pay-per-view and on the internet.
At Yesterday’s weigh-in, Tomasz Adamek the former Light-Heavyweight and Cruiserweight champion of the world weighed in at 215 pounds while Kevin McBride came in at a whopping 285 pounds. The size difference between the two will be a big obstacle for Adamek to overcome, he will be giving away nearly 5 inches in height and will be outweighed by 70 pounds in the ring against McBride.
The Adamek vs. McBride fight will be distributed and broadcast in the United States and Canada by Integrated Sports Media for live viewing at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, DISH Network and Avail-TVN and Canada via Viewer’s Choice, Bell TV and Shaw Cable PPV for a suggested retail price of only $29.95.
