Pacquiao vs. Mosley “Letdown of the Year,” Haye vs. Klitschko “Fight of the Year”

Now that the boring Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley fight is over, we can look forward to a real superfight, the July 2, heavyweight unification bout between IBF, IBO, WBO champ Wladimir Klitschko and WBA champ David Haye .

I still cannot believe so many of the media and boxing fans were thinking Pacquiao vs. Mosley will be “Fight of the Year,” that fight was horrible and a disgrace to the sport of boxing, and it was more like the “Letdown of the Year,” Pacquiao is an overrated fighter compared to Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko, he doesn’t fight mandatory opponents and likes to fight old guys with just name value, that is all.

I am disappointed in the American media giving Pacquiao-Mosley so much coverage, they should give Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye fight more coverage and an HBO 24/7 series because this is a credible and historical fight in the heavyweight division. Two prime heavyweight champions will unify the titles for the first time in a long time. This is not a fight between one prime fighter vs. an old legend just there to collect a paycheck, this is a fight that the fans really wanted and now they got it.

A lot of the casual boxing fans really want to see Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr., but that fight will not live up to the hype, it will be similar to the Pacquiao vs. Mosley fight, very boring with no action. Manny was exposed against Shane Mosley, he cannot even finish off a guy who wasn’t throwing any punches back, I can already predict Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, Mayweather will just pot shot Manny to a decision because Manny doesn’t know how to cut the ring off.

Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye has the classic good guy vs. bad guy angle, and I am almost certain that there will be more action in this fight than the Pacquiao-Mosley fight; it has “Fight of the Year” written all over it. I just hope David Haye doesn’t become chicken again and pull out of the fight due to an injury like a sore toe or he decides to be come a track runner in the ring and avoid trading blows with Wladimir.

Klitschko-Haye is the fight that boxing fans should be anticipating and I hope all of the boxing fans around the world watch this fight on July 2, 2011. I will watch this fight and I hope that the fans in America watch it on HBO, they deserve a Free fight on HBO especially after wasting their hard earn money on that boring fight last Saturday night.  I will say this, unlike Manny Pacquiao, Wladimir Klitschko will fight hard and he will deliver and please the fans when he KO’s David Haye .
