Pacquiao’s Brutish Style Is No Match For Mayweather’s Elegance

I wasn’t impressed by Manny Pacquiao’s performance against Sugar Shane Mosley, in fact, I wasn’t impressed with any of his previous fights either.

We didn’t need to see tapping and hugging and Shane saying good shot Manny or don’t head butt me. Both guys acted more like good friends than boxers.

Shane Mosley was looking for a way out against Manny Pacquiao, it looked like he wanted his head to get cut so they would stop it and he was gonna say that he tried his hardest and he wanted to continue but the cut bothered him.

Manny didn’t evolve at all as a boxer. He fights pretty much the same, in spurts and with wild explosive power. In terms of boxing ability, Manny doesn’t have the basic fundamentals of a Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather Jr., he relies mainly on aggression and physical attributes such as speed and power.

Now tell me what strategy will Manny use against Floyd Mayweather? Mayweather is like a ballerina with grace and finesse, while Pacquiao has no style and is ugly to watch very wild and unrefined. When you watch the smooth movements of Floyd it’s like watching a masterpiece and his defense is so beautiful that he will make the ugly brutish brawler Pacquiao look uncivilized in the ring.

Pacquiao doesn’t know how to cut the ring off, he showed that he still lunges against a counter puncher and if Mosley could pull the trigger he could have knocked Manny out or at least dropped him.

Pacquiao made so many mistakes against Mosley, he doesn’t know how to fight on the inside, he was slowing down in the fight, he was gassing, throwing less punches, dropping his hands a lot, and once again he shows he cannot deal with moving targets.

Manny Pacquiao made an excuse that his legs were tight that is why he couldn’t catch Mosley. The true reason why he couldn’t catch Mosley was because he has two left feet and no rhythm, Floyd Mayweather can dance around the ring and he has great footwork, so he knows how to cut the ring off and move around, but a guy like Pacquiao who cannot dance on his toes will never be able to move around the ring like an elegant swan.

Everything that Manny did in that ring against old Shane Mosley would have gotten him knocked out or embarrassed against a decent counter puncher who actually took advantage of those wild lunging punches.

When the playing field is even, the sweet science will prevail against brute force in the boxing ring.
