Mayweather vs. Ortiz Will Tell Us If Manny Pacquiao Has A Shot

Manny Pacquiao has a lot of fans out there that believe he can defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr.

These people are going off of how Manny Pacquiao dominates cherry picked opponents in the ring, and use the drug testing request by Mayweather as his excuse to duck Manny. An unbiased person would label the person who refuses to take random drug tests as suspicious and would automatically put a question mark over his head, but not Pacquiao fans, or shall I say Mayweather haters, these fanatics have no problem with Pacman refusing to take Olympic style drug testing and are putting the blame on Floyd Mayweather for the fight not happening. They claim Floyd is scared (laughs).

If Floyd Mayweather was so scared, why would he take on Victor Ortiz? He is a dangerous, young fighter coming off a dominant win. They say Floyd’s weakness is southpaws with pressure and power, well, if Floyd was scared or a cherry picker why is he fighting a relentless power punching southpaw? The answer is simple….Because Floyd is not scared and he isn’t a ducker or cherry picker. You just don’t like the man and will never give him credit for anything.

Floyd has been gone from the sport for nearly two years and again he is fighting the best available opponent out there. He wanted to fight Pacquiao but they never reached out to him and made a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez instead. This is an obvious duck move by Team Pacquiao, immediately after they beat Shane Mosley they didn’t even bother reaching out to Floyd and quickly make a fight with someone else.

The Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight will tell us if Manny Pacquiao has a shot to beat Floyd Mayweather. If Ortiz is able to rough Floyd up, drop him a few times, and Floyd barely wins a split decision or a close fight, Manny has a slight shot to beat Floyd. If Mayweather beats Ortiz and out boxes him easily with a few rough patches, then, Pacquiao has no shot at all because if a big, strong, fast and powerful young southpaw like Victor Ortiz can’t stop or beat Floyd Mayweather, the smaller Manny Pacquiao has no shot at all!

The Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight hasn’t happened yet because someone lacks confidence, and it’s not Floyd Mayweather.
