Mayweather vs. Ortiz Pay-Per-View is $70 for HD? I’m Saving For Pacquiao’s Fight!

This is really highway robbery. I didn’t realize how expensive the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Victor Ortiz fight was until I was about to order it. I thought it was going to be $54.95, still pretty rich for my blood, especially in these tough economic times, but when I saw it going for $69.95 (basically $70 bucks) for high definition my heart sank. I am going to have to pass on ordering this fight and go to the local bar to watch it. I would invite people over to split the bill but I relocated to a new area because of a new job that required me to move to another state and I don’t know anyone around here.

I am going to hold off on this Mayweather fight and save my money for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III Pay-per-view on November 12th and the Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito rematch in December (I hope Bob Arum doesn’t make them $70 for HD as well). Also, I don’t want to put any more money into the greedy ungrateful Floyd Mayweather’s pockets. If I do pay for another Mayweather PPV fight it’s only if he fights the face of boxing Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, someone who really cares about the sport and the fans.

I’m not going to lie, I used to be a huge Floyd Mayweather fan but after his true colors showed him being a real scoundrel like burning a $100 dollar bill, disrespecting the troops by flaunting his money in their faces on Skype while they are putting their lives on the line in Afghanistan, and him disrespecting his father on national TV, I can’t put anymore of my hard earned money into his bank account anymore even how bad I want to see him lose to Victor Ortiz. I can still catch it at the local bar for the price of a drink, but no way am I spending $70 for it, and to find out that he might wind up with over $40 million and Victor Ortiz is only going to get $2.5 million makes me sick to my stomach.

They should make it so Victor Ortiz gets half of Mayweather’s money if he beats him because that is not fair at all. All Mayweather does is burn money and make it rain in the club while there are people who’ve been laid off busting their butts trying to  find a job just to put food on the table to feed their family.

I hope people realize that the more you order his fights, the bigger his ego grows, and the less likely we will see the Pacquiao fight because he is just going to go on vacation again and the boxing fans only want to see him fight one fight and that is against Manny Pacquiao the true champion.
