Vitali Klitschko should be ranked higher than Mayweather and Pacquiao

Vitali Klitschko destroyed former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek in the tenth round. The display of dominance by Vitali was an amazing sigh to behold. I have never seen a fighter so big and so strong, move like a cat and rarely get hit in the face.

This performance has solidified Vitali Klitschko as one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world today and one of the greatest, most dominant heavyweight champions in history, along with his younger brother Wladimir Klitschko they are the two best boxers in the world.

But for some reason, these two legendary boxers never get the recognition they deserve. Only Wladimir is ranked in the top ten pound for pound lists. Vitali is completely overlooked when it comes to pound for pound lists.

Instead, we have the two biggest divas in boxing as the top two pound for pound, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. How can the two biggest divas and cherry pickers in the sport be ranked so highly above two gladiators who fight all of their mandatory opponents like the Klitschko Brothers? I mean the Ring magazine even has a Thailand guy I never heard of named Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, but they don’t have Vitali Klitschko on the list?

After watching Vitali Dominate Adamek, how can anyone say that wasn’t proof that Vitali is one of the most dominant boxers in the world? Compare Vitali’s fight against Adamek to Manny Pacquiao’s fight to Shane Mosley, they are on different skill levels, Pacquiao couldn’t land any punches on Mosley and he gets praised for that? What about Vitali Klitschko scientifically jabbing and battering Tomasz Adamek and forcing the referee to stop the fight in the tenth round, that is more impressive than Pacquiao’s win versus Mosley. Floyd Mayweather can’t even break a hole through a wet paper bag and he is ranked above the Klitschko brothers.

You have Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao avoiding Sergio Martinez, both scared to lose and cherry picking their opponents, but they are praised and the Klitschko brothers are insulted and called boring, even though they have a higher knockout ratio than Mayweather and Pacquiao. The Klitschkos deserve to be top two pound for pound, unless, someone beats them, they have proven themselves over and over, and fight all of their mandatory opponents and never ducked any fighter. This is a big injustice in boxing, and it’s due to the corrupt politics of the sport. The real top three pound for pound should be; 1. Wladimir Klitschko, 2. Vitali Klitschko, 3. Sergio Martinez.
