On November 5th, undefeated super IBF middleweight champion Lucian Bute (29-0, 24 KOs) fights veteran challenger Glen Johnson (51-15-2, 35 KOs) at the Pepsi Coliseum, Quebec City, Quebec in Canada on broadcast on Showtime in the United States.
Lucian Bute is considered one of the top super middleweight fighters in the world and Glen Johnson is looking to give the Romanian born Canadian at tough test on Saturday night.
Should Bute get by Johnson, he is looking to face the winner of the Super Six World Boxing classic final match Andre Ward vs. Carl Froch. Ward vs. Froch is a title unification bout for Wards WBA title and Froch’s WBC title.
The co-feature on Showtime before the Bute vs. Johnson title bout will be a light welterweight bout between undefeated Candian Pier-Olivier Cote (17-0, 11 KOs) versus New York’s Jorge Luis Teron (25-2-1, 17 KOs).
