Bob Arum’s temporary outdoor stadium for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is an excuse

If Bob Arum really wanted to make the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao super-fight, he should reach out to Floyd Mayweather and his people because they issued the challenge.

Don’t buy into that ridiculous excuse of the May 5th fight date being too soon because Arum wants to make a 45 thousand seat temporary outdoor stadium to hold the super-fight. It doesn’t take 5 months to set up an outdoor stadium! Most of it is prefabricated and just requires assembly of the bleachers and a border around the stadium to block viewers.

If this 30 story building was built in 15 days, I am willing to bet a 45 thousand seat temporary outdoor stadium could be built within 2 months for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao in May! Maybe Arum should hire this Chinese construction company to do the outdoor stadium.

After watching the video above, I don’t think anyone would buy his excuse that a temporary outdoor facility will take 5 months to make! They could get the temporary facility done before May 5th easily. Bob Arum was already exposed for lying in the past, when he thought Floyd was going to jail, he said Manny Pacquiao would be able to fight Juan Manuel Marquez at MGM Grand on May 5th!, now that Floyd has gotten his jail date pushed back, Arum said Pacquiao’s eye will not be healed by then and the fight would need to be in late May or June 9 for it to happen because of the cut on Manny’s eye and a temporary outdoor stadium needs to be built. They could fight at Sam Boyd stadium it seats 40,000.

Arum knows full well that Floyd Mayweather cannot fight in late May or June because they only let him fight on May 5th! He told the courts that he had a fight date on that date specifically and Floyd has to serve his jail sentence on June 1st so why would Arum even throw that out there?

Floyd Mayweather wants it, Manny Pacquiao wants it, Freddie Roach wants it, the fans want it, but Bob Arum doesn’t want it.
